Seems like a reach

Dude at this point. Anything can happen.

If Sony studios made game (MLB)can enter game pass and MS can buy Bethesda, then shouldn't be surprised by anything. New MS is hungry for games MS.

MS got teams, resources and all to fund metal gear with Kojima.

Days of Kojima will only work with Sony are gone. He is independent and can work with anyone.

Sony will just make selected first party AAA games and milkem from now on lol. Didn't you read Jasom article?  :p

MS should just buy Sony and Nintendo. Maybe that is the Japanese acquisition everyone is hinting at.

It makes perfect sense. Green xbox + blue PS + red Nintendo.

All the primary colours under one company.

There will be wars no more. No green or red or blue, only white.

that’s brilliant. MS should do it. It’s the logical conclusion to all this.

You guys should really read up on Japanese Pettiness. Kojima's departure from Konami was not pretty, and he was pretty much almost a prisoner for 1 year. He and his team had surveillance equipment and cameras observing them, his production team was renamed to a generic Studio No. 8, supervisors were instructed to monitor and shame all Kojima employee studios for minor stuff like taking a little extra time on breaks, all internet connections were cut off. While Kojima was still an employee of Konami, working on MGS - the company has also literally removed the "A Hideo Kojima Game" from promotional materials of MGS, which was an insult. All thois to a guy and his team that almost single handedly carried Konami's video game division for years and brought very good profits. All this, simply because the new president after Konami restructured did not like Kojima, and wanted to go fully mobile.

Mistwalker's Sakaguchi and old Team Ninja's Itagaki did not work with Sony permanently, no matter the money, for far lesser stuff.

So no, MGS will not be developed by Kojima. Even if Konami allows MS to develop it, they will put up a clause that Kojima will not touch the IP. Not to mention, Konami still makes millions off it's MGS Themed Gacha Gambling Machines - without doing anything and there is no reason for them to do anything with it.

Bioshock 4 will be an Open World FPS with character & personality, according to job listings

Quote

The job advert (spotted by PCGamesN) adds: “We’re hoping to find someone who can weave impactful, character-driven stories in an open world setting.”

Another current opening, for a senior technical audio designer, describes the game as a “AAA narratively-driven FPS project full of character and personality”.

Cloud Chamber is also seeking an AI Programmer “to flesh out the designs and finalize the implementations for an urban crowd system and the systemic tribal ecology of a sometimes hostile AI”.

And it’s on the lookout for a senior world designer to “combine hand-crafted set-pieces with emerging AI behavior to create a ‘living’ world that offers players variety at every step of the game”.

If MGS IP is being sold off like what happened with Gears of War

Then I don’t see why it would be a problem for Kojima to work on them

Be it with Sony or M$ or even Nintendo

But yes if they are just licensing it out for short while ,Kojima & Konami won’t work together

Personally I don’t think Kojima would ever want to work on an MGS again unless he has just no other project to work on

He was bored of it & was being forced to work on it,he indicated that numerous times

even in the PT teaser he created

No, MGS IP will not be sold. It continues to be one of the bread and butter IPs for Konami. Only, instead of video games, it's being used in Pachinko Machines as a game theme. Who the heck will substitute the gacha revenue if they sell it off?

This is the MGS 3 Remake trailer

Playing now on a Pachinko Machine 7 hr flight away from you.

What happened to Ken Levine

He was a mastermind developer

Playing Burial at Sea as we speak

He's still at Irrational working on the next IP. Studio downsized and renamed to Ghost Story games.

True, MS pockets are deeper than the canyons.

Shame with all that money and resources, the only proper exclusive this year was Medium, or was it Mediocre? I can't remember.

It was not their game. It was indie, they just paid them to add to game pass. It was filler game till new first party studios games are ready.

MS didn't fund development of the game.

They didn't have Chad Spencer back then. He will make it happen. I'm sure.

Ye Phill was under Terry Myerson back then, he didnt had power to make big deals and fund projects without permission of Terry Myerson who used to be head of all MS devices and entertainment division (current position of Phill). Terry wanted Xbox division to shut and gone for good after Xbox one launch.

Windows central also had pretty detailed article over all Terry Myerson vs Xbox division drama.
