So many reflecting surfaces in the convenince store.

I think one of the reasons RTX seemed kind of silly in the past is that game developers intentionally avoided using a lot of reflecting surfaces, so it semed like the performance hit was not worth it for just a few reflections.

But with next gen consoles pimping ray tracing, we'll see a lot more RTX usage.

The real next-gen moment.

Didn't even realize there was supposed to be loading there. :O They could have also just loaded both interiors and worlds simultaneously right? Since they're working with double RAM now

They can keep holding the city in RAM all the time, but that's so much wastage of memory when you can literally flush it out in 2 seconds.

So if that section is played on a PS4, the black-screen transition section between the two areas will be there for longer?

Probably like this..

Hold on cowboy.

On what basis you saying that they not saving up assets in ram like Godfall doing for instant load for everything? You maybe right but you have any proof to back your stuff? Devs confirmed it?

They have way more ram now plus additional Virtual ram from SSD to save up extra assets for loading entire city area including Warehouses.

Both possibilities can be real, maybe super Fast SSD doing its magic or they just saved up stuff in Ram to load everything instantly but you cant deny what im saying either unless there's proof.

Now if loading from Menu screen or save file is that instant then i will agree with u. No question.

Anyway, i will play on PS4 with slow loading. So you can let me know when you playing on PS5 :P

If you don't understand basic English then don't quote me. I said they can hold the city in RAM but that is such a waste of resources when you can flush it in 2 seconds. Now read that sentence 3-4 times and tell me what proof you want.

But they have more memory available than PS4, so it is likely they will be keeping it.

It would be incredible if they are flushing it out and reloading  it from the SSD.

Yeah both options are viable, never said they're doing one over the other.
