Mass Effect Legendary Edition - 9 to 10 everywhere but then comes Noisy Pixel who gave it 5/10 and dragged the rating down. Same for It Takes Two 111 out of 116 reviewers gave is 8-10 while 5 gave it 7 which moved the game from 90 to 88. As far as I understand, 7,8,9 these are all good to amazing rating! And games are subjective even after rating given by media. Like some of us don't even think TLOU2 deserves a 10/10, rather it should be more of a 7/10 to 8/10 rating. And hate the story and characters of it. On the other hand, many people says it's masterpiece. Doesn't make them wrong, nor that makes me wrong! That's why I don't trust rating system. Even Media simps alongside general gamers nowadays. Everyone wanna hear good stuffs about the things they love and fan of, and media caters that. Also, Ghost of Tsushima has a metascore of 83...its a GOTY for me personally! And you can hear nothing but praise for that game everywhere. 89 is still an amazing score. And nothing to be bothered about. Days gone is an unique example as that game had 6 scores from many outlet and didnt sale well. Not gonna happen for Rachet and Clank Riftapart.
