And there was a time not long ago when these were manufactured in india 4d3f5f82c12f88d30c643f48d8d31ac0.jpg

The time when companies actually had hopes from the Indian market. I think this was the only time when everything had regional prices - which were literally crazy. Games were available for insane prices like Rs 499/Rs 999/Rs 1299. Then of course, the  Indian Resellers and Westerners crashed the party by buying stuff meant for India at throw-away prices, while everyone else just brought FIFA. Everything came crashing down after this.

They should revive this strategy. It works for books...

I will always regret that I bought Crack in Time but didn’t finish it

Rift Apart is a direct sequel to Into the Nexus btw

but like Uncharted games they are new adventures each time

Sort of

I thought it's a direct sequel to quest for booty. That's the reason we have two characters of opposite sexes in this iteration.

Books are fine. In Gaming, the problem is - even after giving those prices, Indian market never improved (Unlike say Russian etc.)People still only brought FIFA and other such games. Worse, Sony actually cannot manufacture region locked PS5 game discs that will not work on foreign PS5s. I don't think this is coming back any time soon.

I think now it will. Gaming has only gained popularity in india. If only they fix the price...

A Crack in Time is the direct sequel to Quest for Booty.

That's a shame. It's the best of the series so far IMO. My regret is that I only ever played it once before my PS3 died.

Hope Rift Apart turns out to be better.

How Insomniac is able to crank out 3 top class games in about 3 years is really mind boggling. Other studios will take years to develop even one quality game unless its a sports game or Asscreed game where you are just basically doing an asset reshuffle and updating few things.

With recent patent filing by sony, Imagine insomiac announcing Sunset Remaster for PS5 at E3 :panic:They can very well do that now that Sony owns the IP and insomniac has the code to the original game. They just need to do a touch up like Spiderman remaster and take my money.

I don't think they can release SO on PS since I imagine distribution rights would be with MS. But a sequel can very well come on PS, I guess.

The same game’s distribution rights are with M$

But if they change the code & remaster it & add more content with a re-label, then they can re-release it after the initial distribution rights expire

Has happened with many of the timed Xbox exclusives before which weren’t marketed as timed

Ninja Gaiden 2

Rise of the Tomb Raider

at the top of my mind
