I think its limited to ray-traced audio, but its there. And supposedly fully ray-traced.

Apparently it has ray traced ambient lighting. I guess we need to wait to see how extensive it is.

Sony will probably never push for native 4K for any of their first party games.

Checkerboard rendering is magic.

Yeah, I myself don't see the merits of going for native 4K over something like 60fps. It's just not worth the performance hit.

Was just pointing out that 4K60 and RT are probably not very valid points for "great optimization" in this case.

From Era

What carries over and what doesnt

Spoiler

Stuff that carries over:
"Unlocked weapon traits (snubnose, high caliber, homing shots, phasing shots). These will appear on weapons you pick-up. You can get a weapon with a locked trait and have to unlocked it first by using it.

Tools such as the Alt-fire module, fast-travel teleports and katana, keys such as to the house and teleports.

You carry ether over to the next cycle, it's a currency that can be used to remove debuffs on items before picking it up, or buy random artifact at the start of a cycle."

Stuff that is lost:
"Some that are lost: health upgrades, weapon, weapon proficiency(governs how high level weapons you get as drops), parasites, artifacts, consumables, keys, normal currency."

Amen to this.

Even if they could get 60fps with Native 4K, I'd rather have 60fps with higher quality textures Dynamic 4K or 2K reconstructed to 4K with Sony's upscale tech.

Yup. Even more so when devs have reconstruction techniques that make the difference barely noticeable anyway.

Exactly, Its not like Im gonna go pixel hunting while trying to avoid 100000 electric gobus thrown by the enemy

I guess I'll be that guy and point out that it's dynamic 4K and the RT seems to be a bare-minimum implementation.

Ofcourse someone had to point this out. Those checkerboard rendering techniques will make things hardly noticeable by us. They'll be revealed only by DF and other pixel junkies then forget about it in a day or two. Same goes with ray tracing. To be suffice that they are there and we're getting that sweet 60 moves.

When time goes by things will slowly going to get back to 30 fps to achieve 4k heavy rendering techniques ofcourse. AMD has come up with new DLSS tech called FidelityFX on consoles. So everything is going to be dynamic.
