Fixing it means either disable cloud save or make the game online only. They all have the "stupid" suspend and save feature. different roguelites may have different designs other roguelites have a mid-game save since day 1, so the enemy encounters were designed and calibrated keeping in mind that players can save Returnal and its enemy encounters and design weren't built and calibrated with with such suspend feature in mind. Gameplay wise, Housemarquee is the only PS studio I trust, that won't turn it into cut scene infested snooze fest. Would have made a good competitor and replacement to Metroid Prime series.
