Snake Posted June 22, 2022 Report Share Posted June 22, 2022 Nicknamed "The Glen", Watkins Glen International is a historic road course found in New York State, roughly 260 miles northwest of New York City, which opened in 1956 and is surrounded by rolling hills. The first half of the track comprises high-speed sections with mid to high-speed corners, with the latter half features tight, technical turn combinations. The undulating track is also narrow which encourages high-intensity racing battles. The back straight leads to a high-speed chicane, immediately followed by a right turn into a banking section (Outer Loop), which is one of the track's primary highlights. From there, the long course will run into the technical section known as "The Boot", while the 'Short Course' bypasses this segment entirely. This is my 1st GT, been slowly taking TC & other assists off, & on watkins glen the gr3 cars are exhilarating, so on edge... loving this game right now Anyone here playing GT7..? I played it a lot and now it's on backburner since PS deluxe subscription. Still play it when more events are launched. Based on a true story, the project is described as the ultimate wish-fulfillment tale of a teenage Gran Turismo player whose gaming skills won a series of Nissan competitions to become an actual professional race car driver. Harbour will play a retired driver who teaches the teen to drive. PlayStation Productions’ Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan, as well as Doug Belgrad and Dana Brunetti, are producing. An online time trial will begin in mid-April (eligibility criteria to be announced at a later date). The fastest from the time trial will be invited to compete at the finals, which will be live at the first-ever Olympic Esports Week from June 22-25, 2023 in Singapore. "Participation of Gran Turismo in the Olympic Esports Series 2023 is something we are very happy about and it is great for fans of GT and the community," explained producer of the Gran Turismo series Kazunori Yamauchi at an event held at Olympic House in Lausanne. "What we're seeing is something that, for us, began when we started GT Academy in 2008 when we were trying to go from virtual to real-world racing, and we saw them as two distinct things.
