Marketing is done by Ember themselves, Sony only showed it once in PS5 showcase. They didn't even help with distribution of review codes.

Dono about review codes but it has been part of a lot of PS5 promotional content

From adaptive triggers to upcoming exclusives to Indie showcase to featuring in State of Play

Almost all promos have kena at the forefront as if it was a first party exclusive

It felt like they backed down on promotions in the last few months.

Pretty sure Ember has to pay a lot to get featured in PS events or even on PSN storefront… they may have decided to cut down on the marketing.

Seeing the area go from black and red to Green is so satisfying

I m sure... its a part of exclusivity deal for the marketing thing which I assume will be handle by sony, isnt it?

All that is part of exclusivity deal usually

The developer doesn’t have to pay the platform manufacturer anything

They were pretty aggressive with the marketing

just go pack & see all the PS5 promo videos….it’s as if they were treating this as part of their own

Obviously they won’t pay for a major TV spot or anything like they do for SSM,ND,Insomniac esque games

The DualSense controller not supporting the game.

I tried overriding the game through steam (even though its EPIC Games), still DualSense doesn't work. Xbox controller works flawlessly.

Weird because in game you have option to change controller layout, and there, you can see Xbox one, PS4 and PS5 dualsense layout for Controller.

Check if there's some third party adapter software, for DS4 it was called DS4Windows, it has been there since like ~2016 or so, way before steam started supporting DS4 controllers.

ofc these are emulators so you want have all native DualSense features like those haptics and all

who knows, devs may put out a patch with native support( i.e plug into pc using USB, and the game itself will recognize controller )

I'm not keen on using any third party software for using DualSense or DS4 on PC, as I already have xbox one controllers, those supports all the PC games nonetheless.

It would be nice if they could add DS support native in the game for PC like Deathloop, Metro Exodus.

Guys please dont make me spend money on this :wallbash::wallbash::wallbash:

I would say 3300 INR is too much on console (although it is a fantastic game).

900 INR for PC is an EASY insta buy. Very VFM for game such as this quality.

They had backing from EPIC Games as this is on UE4. Which is very vital for Indie devs, specially on their first game.
I hope they gained from them atleast. Epic takes 12% cut, where Sony takes 30%.

Yup the price point is too high. Hence will buy in a sale.

This is true. But AFAIK Sony/PS has a larger customer base than EGS. It also has a bigger marketing pull than Epic. So it will even out. Sony might also have some special pricing model for indie devs.

Yeah, probably.

But compared to Deathloop, this game received too little attention in the last 1-2 months, leading up to launch.

I guess it had something to do with the marketing budget of the studio.
But no way to know for sure.
