Demon's Souls Remake

Publisher/Developer: Sony/Bluepoint/Japan Studio

Platform: PS5

Release Date: TBA

From JAPAN Studio and Bluepoint Games comes a remake of the PlayStation classic, Demon's Souls. This remake invites players to experience the original brutal challenge, completely rebuilt from the ground up and masterfully enhanced with a new “Fractured Mode." In addition to beautiful shadow effects and ray tracing, players can choose between two graphics modes while playing: one focused on fidelity, and one focused on frame rate. Coming to PlayStation 5.

According to its trailer description, Demon's Souls will have a new 'Fractured Mode'

It also features two graphic modes: one for fidelity, the other for framerate

Guess 4K 30FPS or 1080-1440p at 60FPS.

Excited for this. The soulsborne formula hadn't yet clicked with me back when I tried it on the PS3. Gave up on it after playing for about half an hour

Nice changes to that monster's design in the second comparison shot. It looks plain goofy in the original version.

My first souls game, had played this only coz my friend insisted on how good it was.

Bluepoint hasn't disappointed yet and their shadow of the colossus remaster was incredible. This will be a treat.

They were not goofy in 2009 :fear:

By this point I'm almost sure these remaster/remake comparison sequences fog up the older version

Absolutely loved playing this but my PS3 died before I was maybe halfway through the game. Don't remember much of it though. I guess I was doing a magic build? I still have the LE. One of the very few PS3 game discs I still have.
