Do 2 things to make life bearable in the Swamp. 1) Go to World 3-3 (Be sure to have finished Man Eater boss for easy mode). Be in body form and die to a normal/trash mob purposely (Only to a mob, don't jump off or be in boss room). Use "Stone of Ephemereal Eyes" item to return to body form every time you die, and then suicide again. After around 4 times or so, go to Nexus and return to World 3-3. Your World Tendency will be Pure Black (You can tell by the color of the eye when you load level). Then go down to the very bottom of the Tower (Use the lift where you found Yurt, The Silent Chief NPC). At the bottom level, you will find a mob (alone) in the water that does not move and keeps shooting spells at you. Kill it (It's a bit hard, so be careful). Near that mob, you will find the Sodden Ring item. This Ring lets you move (run) at full speed in water. You can equip this in the swamp and move as you will normally. This video is useful if you want to watch it As an added bonus, in that same area (nearby) a Primeaval Demon will spawn. This looks like a giant cockroach, and will die in 1 hit. Kill it and get the Colorless Demon Soul. You can use this to purchase a miracle, or if you are running a magic build, to strengthen the Kris Blade weapon, which will boost your damage like crazy. 2) In the Swamp, right at the beginning (as soon as you enter it), you can see the glow of some items. Collect it. One of the items is the Regenerator's Ring. Equipping this ring slowly restores your health. This slows down the poison damage by a lot, and makes the swamp far more bearable. 3) Keep Noble's Lotus in the item shortcut and use it only when your health becomes too low or poison becomes unbearable. Before finishing the final boss you can do some things like completing NPC questlines, collecting special weapons like Demonbrandt and such if you care about NG+ and platinuming the game. Just a tip: After defeating the final boss, you won't be able to spend your souls to level up until defeating Phalanx in NG+.
