Resident Evil Village

Started this last night and it is not as scary as the other RE games at least the first 3 hrs. RE7 was way more scary. Also, this game gives you a gun in the first 10 mins of gameplay so the scare factor reduces because shooting the enemies in the face is fun.

Almost done with the game, I think I am left with around 1-2 hrs. and this was not as scary as RE7 for sure maybe a few sections were somewhat scary. But this game is a lot more 'fun' - almost like an action fps shooter at times.

Done took me around 11 hrs. Great experience overall and a lot of fun specially the last 3-4 hrs. But I think they toned down the scare factor maybe to appeal to a wider audience. The ending was pretty interesting and they can take the series forward in a lot of different ways.

Resident Evil Village shipments and digital sales top 4.5 million

Quote

500,000 copies moved since last report.

Resident Evil Village is the sequel to Resident Evil 7 biohazard (which has gone on to ship a cumulative nine million units as of March 31, 2021) and features a higher degree of action and even more expansive, highly engaging gameplay. In the game, players take on the role of protagonist Ethan Winters as they delve into a new kind of survival horror set in a mysterious, snowy village. Lauded for its technical merits, including its stunning, photorealistic visuals and cutting-edge 3D audio, the game also won support from fans for featuring appealing characters grounded in traditional horror and gameplay that expertly balanced elements of action and horror. This resulted in worldwide shipments of the title surpassing four million units.

30 fps vs 112 fps?¿???

Wtff

No, frame wise difference isn't that big, like 5-10fps. But lots of frame freezes and sudden drops happening in retail code, which are pretty much non existent in cracked code without Denuvo and Capcoms anti cheat software.

LOL. Always love seeing huge publishers getting schoold on such stuff. Reminds me of that guy who fixed GTA's loading times and then Rockstar released a patch incorporating his fix.

Basically they would remove the DRM. I think doom eternal shipped without the DRM. Later they incorporated it. The move was criticized.

Not surprised. Denuvo always finds themselves in sh*t like this.

Absolutely, only when individuals prove how these kinda notorious DRMs affect the game will publishers do something about it fearing the backlash.

Denuvo DRM eats a lot of CPU cycles, like say 20% CPU usage iirc.

If you see the review page for Iceborne on steam, it still shows "mixed" reviews because it had Denuvo on launch, which was f**king the performance of the game, so PC players who had actually bought Iceborne negative review bombed it, Capcom later surrendered to the angry PC players and removed Denuvo via an update.
