Maybe.

 

But buying from eBay US has it's own headaches. Seller needs to be genuine, customs procedures have to be taken care of by the buyer, etc., etc.

Historically when do these new game pre-orders of the special editions come to India? GTS is already taking them for the normal edition but no info on the steelbook.

Too early to say, but I get the feeling Sony will put in a bit of extra content for those who buy the PS5 version. Say for example, putting in some extra quests and/or costumes. It will not be any major content, but something like what Ubi provides with AC if you pre-order early (Beowulf and Grendel Quest in AC:Valhalla for example) Of course those who choose to upgrade via PS4 version will just get the upgrade, and not the extra stuff. It will certainly be easier than identifying people who pre-ordered or fielding complaints and then refunding the extra amount.

I like the foucs stand and aloy figurine. The tremortusk figurine also looks nice but not half as interested as I am in the focus and aloy figurine.

So they haven't even mentioned why people would be paying extra 1k for? what a silly thing this is. 

 

I guess they don't want to outrage the PS4 owners by increasing the prices while want to jump 70$ per game at the same time because f*** you give us more monney! Silently cancelled the cross generation until people outraged and they had to set back. 

 

Now openly said that they won't support cross gen from now.

They will most probably add to the PS5 version or decrease the price. If neither maybe its just gonna be 4k for ps4 edition, free upgrade to ps5 edition and 5k for ps5 edition, can't be played on ps4. Either ways the ps4 edition is practically a steal because u get a ps5 AAA title with all dualsense features and everything for a ps4 game price of 4k. Unless they include a collectible or something worth that with the ps5 version which is not happening.

The only difference is that, with a PS4 disc, you only get access to PS5 digital copy. 

 

With the PS5 disc, you'll be able to copy the the disc content directly without having to download the base game.

The whole thing is an example of Sony not having any clue about how to be crossplatform. Because they didn't have this in previous gens. 

They are soo hellbent arrogant on making their home games 70 dollars on ps5 (when 3rd party AAA games on ps5 still costs 4k INR/60$) that they didn't even have a plan to fix this pricing issue because they thought they will get away with this, which didn't happen thankfully due to backlash. And after damage control, they don't even have an idea about how to mention the pricing parity for the both different versions.

This kindda behaviour reminds me of PS3 era Sony where they thought 600 dollars for their console is fair.

Imagine playing same game on ps4 with lower fidelity at 60 dollars and at higher fidelity at ps5 at 70 dollars. Sony just invented charging 10 dollars extra for game graphics settings. Typical Apple mentality...now all companies will do it if it works out.

It was fair, considering how much it cost them to make. Even at 600 USD, they were losing hundreds on each unit sold. Whether they should have spent that much on the development of cell architecture is another discussion altogether.

Just for the record, I'm here as a GAMER. Not a representative for Rockstar. Nor to be picked for a corporation I work in as an employee.

 If you have any doubts about games from Rockstar, post in respective thread, or better mail them officially and ask.

If not, then as @Vamos mentioned, the only difference would be one would need a constant internet connection to upgrade to the ps5 version of the game if one buys the PS4 version

 

And the ps5 version would be just plug (insert) n play

 

 

Ps- as consoles are getting sophisticated, it's no rocket science to reckon the development costs. Hence the $10 increase in price. 

 

further pricing something depends on the publisher. Not every third party title is for $60.

Wait what? The internet connection update and stuff should only be during installation right? After that you will have installed the PS5 updated version and thus it will be plug insert and play. Only difference that way would be you need an internet connection to download the game. All like a regular ps5 game once you have already downloaded it.
