These current engines still have traces of code from engines made by John Carmack for Doom (1990s) etc. If you want to see next gen, only thing available is Matrix demo. There's nothing happening in game which screams only possible on nextgen. Ratchet was built for nextgen. It was impossible for devs to scale down without fundamentally changing major aspects of the game. It was made for that fast SSD inside PS5.
