Damn..

how bad is our economy if it’s lower than Bangladesh… our economists must be sh*t…

the cost of not doing enough to stop this pandemic is going to be catastrophic

If you divide any number by 1400000000 its going to drop like a rock.

Even the common man understands how the government is operating, only issue is they keep forgetting once they go to vote.

And despite having world's biggest public Healthcare program, ayushman Bharat.

We are excellent in cooking books, pathetic in execution.

Have some insights into AB. Some seniors are leading it at district levels in UP. While most workers are trying their best, it's marred by the usual bureaucracy, VIP-ism and slow speed of government work.

Yup I meant per capita only ?

Then it'll always be on the lower side because of our population and agrarian economy. Even when we become a 5-7-10 trillion economy those numbers will be low.

It would be cheaper to vaccinate everyone for free than what it's costing the economy right now.

Absolutely,  but where we gonna get funds from.

And if we do, we don't have stockpile.

I mean the major f**kup has been not to take early call and block supplies for India. It's Poonawalla whose gamble has saved our a*s. But he has his limits, his overseas commitments are just suspended not dismissed.

I think things would've been better had we gone capitalistic way, that is to let ppl buy vaxx of their choice from January itself, we wouldn't have been in such mess. And we could have managed free vaxx for rest of the population, going by priority groups.

Well, kudos to the IT cells.

From the poor to the learned just thinks "Modi nahi to kaun ?" while voting.

I'm sure all this will be forgotten in 2 years. Human memory is short lived. People will get on with their lives.

Last mile delivery will never be great in a socialist setup ridden with beurocracy, the person sitting across the table expects something.

Make it legit, and systematic. No one would mind paying 1000rs after having a bypass surgery which cost 2.5-3L.

This 1000rs will go long way in ensuring quality of service.

Don't think funds are the problem, stocks are.

See we were always going to have shortages of vaccines and even last year before the vaccine was out everyone was saying that india would take years to vaccinate everyone. The governments biggest mistake was to not place a big enough order with SII and BB even after approvals so that the companies could scale up production.

Pretty much this. We have failed at planning for the future. Our mistake was to rely on just 2 manufacturers for vaccination of an entire nation.

we were sleeping…other countries were prebooking vaccines while we were celebrating victory against covid…

I read India is the largest producer of vaccine in the world… now that hurts seeing the current situation…

That health minister is such an embarrassment.

Says all the wrong things. Feels like he is more worried about saving his a*s than the state of the country.

He needs to resign. If only we had a strong opposition.

As someone said, opposition needs to come out on the streets but they're just on twitter.

Harshvardhan was always a soft spoken guy, dunno what happened in the last few months, he's completely lost it. That letter to MMS was just embarassing.

I think the only qualification for being a HM in this govt is to be a Dr.  if they follow this logic our next HM might be Dr. Sambit Patra :panic:

Should have straight up funded the expansion of facilities in exchange for lower pricing.

I mean it's not like we dont have existing infrastructure that can be put to use for this.

Guys scampering for vaccine, hold on boys, sit at home for few weeks. Its going to start showing up and in current scenario you are better at home then getting the first jab.

I am sure 40-50% will return back with virus who go to hospitals now without proper protection. Break the chain, vaccine availability will only get better with time not worsen.

Exactly what I am doing

There are 50 different ways a crisis could've been avoided if the administration could take some effort.

The issue is we are run by politicians. Uneducated people with no sense of vision or planning. They just want to gobble power, show some philanthropy, and boost their image and egos.

We don't have well qualified well published respected researchers or scientists in any key positions because religion and politics trump logic and science.

When rallies and voting are turned into entertainment, this is what we get.

HV should just f**king resign. The way he licks PM's a*s is not even funny anymore. Zero vision, chest thumping, zero respect from his own medical community. Absolute failure of a guy.
