Shared cabs have yellow license plates.

They were stopped to check curfew pass, which they didn't have. At least they should have decency to put on masks when talking to others who are not in the car. How difficult it is to follow the f**king rules instead of trying to argue like a retard on camera that too without wearing any masks?

You will be fine. Stop thinking about this. Keep taking the vitamin pills after consulting with doctor if you haven't been taking already. Build up immunity to fight off infection if it happens.  And avoid external contact without mask. This phase will pass in few months.

Authorities need to use some common sense when applying these rules. Lawmakers have made up these rules in haste for emergency purposes and it shows. There are many loopholes and also needless restrictions.

We need to be focussing on broader things not on tiny nitpicky stuff like enforcing masks for those who are travelling alone in a car. Too many rules like this is anyways an excuse for police to make money.

Outside air comes in even sitting at home.

Now you're just arguing for argument's sake. At home people don't sit as close as they sit at traffic lights etc. There's nothing we can do except take precautions. Especially when the virus is at least semi-airborne if not proper airborne. Please wear masks for your safety.

Man at this point I'm in favour of any rule that makes people wear masks more

This man, I'd be happy if people even wore those cloth masks above their nose.

One change I'm seeing over the past day or two, almost everyone seems to be wearing a mask here, most the right way. I was surprised to see that. I take it as a win. A significant win.

Ya, I noticed that here in Bengaluru too.

Even saw a bunch of cars with ppl sitting with their masks on.

Traffic in my area is dead. Many shops were closed today. Supermarkets were less crowded.

Lockdown 1.0 ki feeling aa rahi hai.

I live near a very bustling place in Delhi and it's been dead due to the weekend lockdown. As you said, lockdown 1.0 vibes

The downside is as soon as the graph seems to flatten, they'll be the first to ditch the masks.

With all these going on, I am arguing about mask wearing with a covidiot in whatsapp :ranting:.. In these past year many people in India has become covidiot, anti-vaxxer, anti-masker and conspiracy theorist.. Even few of my health care professional friends are arguing against vaccinating because Modi rushed it and its not safe. :wallbash: Recently tamil actor Vivek passed away. He received covid vaccine couple of days before that and people are arguing its because of vaccine :bash:

Don’t panic

the chances that it would harm your family of a wife & kid in a critical way is very very low

unless you have been living an unhealthy lifestyle or any of you has a comorbidity

This is not correct at all. I have seen people who used to live a pretty healthy lifestyle and had to be hospitalized for almost 2-3 weeks before they were able to breathe properly.

While it's good to keep morales up but it's not good to give yourself false hope.

Virus is affecting everyone, it's upto luck how your body is going to react.

Safest way is to stay inside.

Just relax & keep following the protocol

They are also putting fine on ppl wearing full fledged helmets on a two wheeler

they ask to open shutter & check if proper mask is inside or not

So pretty much yeah, logic & the point to argue with the system is pretty much out the window right now

Wearing helmet won't prevent infection. Mask is mandatory. The idiots who are not wearing masks beneath their helmet and still roaming outside are risking infection.

Yes I agree the messaging that average person gets must be really mixed. This is one argument from anti-mask Trumpers that I actually agree with. Technically everyone should be wearing n-95s but we see so much variation: People with cloth masks, handkerchief, scarves, helmets, dupatta  etc etc

Even for those who wear proper masks, people frequently with masks down or on chin or who will remove the mask to cough or to speak louder etc etc

I've had this happen in the past couple of days too.

The thing that gives me some hope is the fact that people are coming together to help each other. Twitter is full of posts with helpful info and people are propagating each others' needs via retweets and such. I'm hoping we come out on the other side of this soon. 60+ people's vaccines are starting to kick in by now so hopefully all of them won't get seriously ill and need hospitalization. Younger folk don't all need critical care so they will also pull through. Hope for the best and take precautions above and beyond what we've been doing.

Director of AIIMS requested on TV for common man to not hunt for N95 or Surgical masks & leave that for frontline workers

Was this recent? I remember this was the recommendation at the start of the pandemic

In a year we couldn’t even produce enough feasible masks for everyone who wants it

Actually now I don't see a shortage of N95. You can buy Vissco N95 masks for 28 Rs and there is lots of supply.

Atleast we managed the mask and sanitiser demand well.
