When work gets us down its pretty easy to hop on the bike or get in the car and drive to the beach and just sit looking at the sunset and still get home by 9pm because almost empty roads. But to do that daily? No way. 2 hours ago, kunjanp said: Haha, this is a very optimistic way to think about it. But productivity varies a lot. I don't think there are many career opportunities out where one will be able to pull this off. Hehe lol I said in a way that sounds too good. If you're moving there, perhaps not at all. But for 3-4 month period every year, one COULD move to a different city/country and WFH if they already have that kind of flexibility with their career. Of course, plenty of ifs and buts, but you could enjoy that place over a 4 month period which would be very different from a week-long vacation, but still throw some variation into life. Hell, this may not even be possible but its just a thought, thats all. Either way, this is not the appropriate thread so lets not continue here but I appreciate the inputs, thanks. Got an ambulance for her and she went and did the Covid test, and also a chest scan to see if there was any spread in the lungs. Whatsapped the results to our doctor who said pneumonia has started and it would be best to admit immediately before conditions get worse, as there's no caretaker left at her home (brother-in-law is already in hospital). Made some phone calls here and there, finally got a bed booked. Went to the hospital for the admission paperwork, they didn't have any ambulances of their own available at the moment, but they gave a few contacts. Had to call 2-3 guys before I found one who had an ambulance available. I had to pay Rs 3500, definitely overpaid but no time to bargain and can't really use own vehicle for this case. It was very stressful waiting at the hospital, especially since 2 other familes came to admit a patient and they had both driven-in the patient in their own cars. I am now staying in my room for a week, I hope I haven't been infected. By the way, there is a health scheme by the Government of Maharashtra (MPJAY) for people who have yellow or orange ration cards. It's not universal healthcare as it claims to be, but if you can avail it, please do. My god dude. Hope everything goes well and a speedy recovery. My prayers with you. I've interacted with them multiple times at OSH exhibitions and supplied a lot of their products to my clients over the years.

Lockdown takes a heavy mental and a physical toll. Trust me. All this sitting around will make anyone go mad. I believe as long as one maintains distance and take precaution then one should exercise especially now. I dont miss my walks even if it rains. I just roam inside the house. I also check if anyone else is taking a walk before i go downstairs.

Yup went to metro a couple of days ago Saw a nibba nibbi just roaming around without a cart or anything. They probably just came to do window shopping. Even when you go down to buy something, people behave like total morons and come way to close to you while waiting in queues. Makes me remember what my driving master told me, you can drive as carefully as you can but there's no guarantee about the guy in front/behind or coming at you. KnackChap
The official count says only 250k infected, 10 times lower than what their president is saying. He says 35 million more will be infected. So 6 million out of their 8 million population.

Same would be for India. i remember reading somewhere regarding Italy. It said multiply the total number of reported infected with 10. That should be the actual infected population

Search for ICMR SERO test. Yeah, I think India has given enough time for virus to get mutated thus the herd immunity is kicking in much earlier. Now there are some other pieces in this puzzle. 1. Mutated virus is more infectious 2. Anti-bodies don't stay for long 3. Deaths are not reported properly 4. Anti-bodies test kit has alse reportings both false negative and false positive.
