8 people died in Delhi’s Batra Hospital because of no Oxygen. Including a senior doctor.

They raised SOS at 7PM to Delhi Govt, to provide O2 by 12PM. It didn’t arrive till 1.30, and came only after NDTV tweeted the story.

Was just watching this in the news. Said state of affairs. Delhi got just 390M as opposed to 900+ needed.

Dirty politics at play.

They are everyday quoting some random number man. They are not even sending tankers to pick up the oxygen from designated Nodes.

Saying more than this would be political.

But see this tweet, just 2 days before, they are being given proportionally more than UP by their own account.

Not at all.

After passing med school, I was extremely gung ho that only allopathy/modern medicine can save the world. Would discount every other branch of medicine.

Gradually over the last 12 years or so, by both personal and professional experience, I have started respecting the power of plants and food.

Was reading about the history of medicine some years ago, and realised that most of the initial discoveries involved some plant or the other. Even the synthetic form of APIs used in drugs are many a times an enantiomer or a similar formulation to what was found in a plant but couldn't be replicated due to whatever reason.

One of the more recent examples is my hair. I have seborrhic dermatitis of the scalp, causing a f**kton of dandruff. If I don't wash my hair/scalp with a certain set of medicated shampoos for 2 days, my dandruff returns. It's pretty bad, and has been this way for around 7 years now. The usual trick with curd, lemon etc don't work.

My wife forced me to start applying flax seed gel (boil the flax seeds for 15-20 mins and it turns into a gel like substance) on my scalp, and F U C K I N G HELL, my dermatitis was abated in just 2 days. No need of shampoo etc. I now apply it twice a week, and it works wonders !

My mom got a lot of relief with her arthritis with rhe help of haldi tablets and flax seeds. She can't even take pain killers much as she has early nephropathy.

That's reassuring about haldi.

If someone had suggested ashwagandha at the right time i could have avoided life long bp meds too for my anxiety. Ashwagandha really helps me on days when even the beta blocker isnt enough.

Demand is skyrocketing as the number of cases are increasing. I believe they're adding 1500 beds now, but don't have oxygen capacity for them.

The cost of handling wave after wave and repeated lockdowns is far more than what it'd cost to just give a 150 Rs injection to everyone.

I think central govt will open up their vaccination program for all in the coming months as the stock situation stabilizes. The current may 1st order was just to hide their incompetence &to pass the blame on the states and even the state govts are in catch 22 situation because they were very vocal about decentralising the initial drive and wanted to choose how, whom and when they could vaccinate and now they're trapped.

The vaccination situation can only improve from here with increase in production and other vaccines coming in.  we have waited, suffered and survived for so long, let's be patient for a little more time and not do anything stupid like rushing out when the lines are full and availability is low. Many metros are already in the process of having society to society vaccine camps, corporates will have one for their employees and other stuff will happen too.

It's so surprising that even generic meds like Paracetamol or Amlodipine etc are in short supply. Everything has gone haywire.

Look at the above article. APIs are in short supply, plus some shipments have been blocked by China due to surge in Indian cases (ironical).

753/800 < 490/700????

Proportionally, dude. Delhi has 2cr population, UP is 20cr

But my point is not that, from Delhi has no problem of Oxygen on 17th April to we need X on 29th to we need X+ 300 on May 1st.

There is just  lot of dishonesty and finding ways to escape the responsibility.

Same with my mom too. Earlier needed steroids every day. Now once or twice a week.

What a terrible terrible time for wave 2 to hit. :wallbash:

Absolutely terrible. Business would have been wonderful if it wasn't for the wave. Well bad luck that started from 2019 is still ongoing.

India is going down to the drains.

How csn you say that when we were promised that India will be superpower by 2020

They can print money.

But come to think of it, we should stop that 6000rs Modi gives to 12cr farmers every year, for this year and jab everyone for free.

They can give from PmCares fund and from the tax collection

Damn..

how bad is our economy if it’s lower than Bangladesh… our economists must be sh*t…

the cost of not doing enough to stop this pandemic is going to be catastrophic

Economy is bad but not that bad. GST collection was highest ever. By next year economy will be back on track. But poor has become poorer due to this

The person who managed the protocol at this center should head the state's task force.

You can take flax seeds from any store (24mantra etc), boil them in water for 10-15 mins or so till you see a gelatinous consistency. Cool it down for around 45 mins. Strain via strainer/muslin cloth etc, and use ! Pretty simple, and works great.

I apply it on the scalp for about a couple of hours at least, sometimes more. It's... pretty yucky to look at. Mucus-y, but it does the job better than most anti fungal shampoos.

Thinking of adding aloe vera gel to the mix and see how it affects the scalp.

Delhi lockdown extended by another week. I guess its needed, hope this helps.

On the flip side, my laptop delivery is gonna be delayed by another week then.....

It hasn't been a proper lockdown though but it is working to an extent. Had to go to college and although people are still going about on the roads, the numbers are definitely less. Plus, since all the shops are closed and restaurants are takeaway only, it will only help.

But I don't understand the decision on putting a stop on Amazon etc deliveries, restaurant deliveries are no safer even if they are considered "essential".

Especially tough for the shop owners though.

Not been able to source a physical copy of All the light you cannot see as well :(

My wife created the following mobile app that collates all data (state wise) for where people can get Vaccines, Oxygen Supplies, Plasma, Medicine Supplies and Home ICU. Can you guys please check it out and see if it can help. If it's good, please forward to your contacts as well, in case it helps. Please tell if it's good. Thanks and sorry for the promotion.

I think its more of an emotional decision than logical . people will start screaming that if amazon are allowed why not us small shopkeepers? I have seen plenty of shopkeepers angry and it will just add feul to fire.
