I was thinking to buy Accu-sure’s
cuz it’s German & I like to avoid a China ka item (not for ideological reasons)

Hows accu-sure, any feedback?

It's all china maal in the end my friend.

I could literally write an essay about how if you want to make any consumer grade product you are either wholly or partially dependent on Zhang even if you don't want to, but then it would be OT

The is this brand of glucometers called AccuCheck by some Swiss company called Roche , it's literally the only consumer item i've seen that is made in Germany, not in China because of the obvious hazards of outsourcing to cheeni OEM who will end up having a separate line of cheaper, clone products

Built to last. Using the same AccuCheck since 8 years I think. We just buy strips and lancet.

AccuCheck is by Roche and their Glucometers are 100% made in Germany.

my dad uses one so I know.

Even the Glucometer strips are imported from Germany & ridiculously expensive.

We have done compare results with proper lab tests and both almost the same.

2nd thing, my neighbour bought a chini Oxymeter, chini maal, it gives different readings within 5 mins.

These n95 masks are a pain.

You cant wash them. You need to disinfect them. Keeping them for 3 or so days is the only option or UV which i dont have.

You need a good amount of them if you want to wear regularly <_<

How are you guys doing

https://www.thedailybeast.com/stella-immanuel-trumps-new-covid-doctor-believes-in-alien-dna-demon-sperm-and-hydroxychloroquine

Quote

A Houston doctor who praises hydroxychloroquine and says that face masks aren’t necessary to stop transmission of the highly contagious coronavirus has become a star on the right-wing internet, garnering tens of millions of views on Facebook on Monday alone. Donald Trump Jr. declared the video of Stella Immanuel a “must watch,” while Donald Trump himself retweeted the video. […]

Immanuel, a pediatrician and a religious minister, has a history of making bizarre claims about medical topics and other issues. She has often claimed that gynecological problems like cysts and endometriosis are in fact caused by people having sex in their dreams with demons and witches. She alleges alien DNA is currently used in medical treatments, and that scientists are cooking up a vaccine to prevent people from being religious. And, despite appearing in Washington, D.C. to lobby Congress on Monday, she has said that the government is run in part not by humans but by “reptilians” and other aliens.

Read an article on Dharavi. Estimated 57% people have anti bodies as per a sero survey done on people living in Dharavi as compared to 14% in non slum areas in Mumbai. I guess they randomly tested 20k people.

Also Mumbai seems to have flattened over all.

It seems that this virus wreaks havoc in a particular region and then subsided. Even Delhi cases seem to have normalised.

Same with Ahmedabad, Chennai. All initial hotspots are flattening.

I guess going forward with inter-district travel restricted in several states this virus will spread like wildfire in one city at a time and then flatten.

Looking at New York, Italy, UK, France all points to that.

It is Pune and Thane's turn to have an explosion of covid19 cases. I have heard about 4th case near me in a society where there are several grocery shops. I used to frequently buy from one of those shops.

So total 4 cases at a walking distance in any direction in my case.

Yep.

Sero survey is very important they should do it in all major cities.

I think we will see Pune/Thane coming down in next couple of weeks. Chennai is also peaking out. Gujarat seema to have it already.

Not having to deal with such situation because I'm not stepping out that much..
Ordering most stuff from BigBasket and only need to visit local store maybe twice at max per week. That too for 30 mins max.
Other than that I use mask only when I need to go to the gate to receive stuff from delivery guys..
So my initial stock of 5 N95 masks is still running fine since the beginning of the pandemic..
