A friend of mine had beer the same evening he was vaccinated. :|

A friend of mine had covaxin and his sweat was pure distilled water.
Covaxin is FALD. Covishield is OLED

Not really. The studies didn't require the participants to abstain from alcohol, it's more like a blanket recommendation that alcohol might end up weakening the immune system and thus the immune response. But no correlation has been found.

So they just refer to inflammation.

I am not sure there is a weekly official guideline? As far as I know, they just said to abstain from it for 2-3 days. In US, UK they are just saying don't drink more than moderate amount i.e. 1 glass/day for women and 2 for men.

@Bird Bird Bird

Apologies if this has been asked before. What due diligence is required post vaccination at least in terms of lifestyle?

Ive been told lots of water (fluids) no daaru for 2days at minimum and no outside food for at least the first 5 days. I can manage this much somehow.

Alcohol is a toxin for your body. Liver has to work to detoxify it. While I don't think the branded drinks would have any issues in most population, it's the local daaru theka which has to be avoided.

It can also raise liver enzymes, and cause metabolic changes. Hence the guideline.

Most of my practicing friends had beers the day of their vaccination.

Socialist chu*giri started.

These f**kers will go to courts and do all the drama to stop this excellent initiative.

I actually feel this bro. My maid met me at the ground floor today exasperated that she’s unable to land a slot. This is after my father in law had already secured a shot for her through his contacts. She had refused back then in April stating fear of injection and vaccine is just a poison to exterminate all Bangladeshi immigrants.

Too late now. And also she’s not one with smartphone access. This whole digitisation of the enrolment seems like only considered and contrived for the Have’s rather than the marginalised.

I’ve offered to register her and land her a slot but the beyotch also has Beyoncé-level nakhras about not travelling more than 500m for a life saving chance. Sab Akhand Chewtiyapa chal raha hai.

Bro ppl are literally having to go for a rural visit to get vaccinated

All this must be for 45+

Coz without booking a slot at co-win you just can’t get vaccinated if below 45

Dunno about all rural areas but my mom in a remote area in Pune had a completely opposite experience compared to metros. The local centre was super organised and handed out tokens. Also called her to come at the exact time for both doses. I heard the same from friends who have elders in villages. Somehow the rural areas are doing a wayy better job than big name cities in handling overall.

And she’s someone who’s averse to smartphone and the internet life. So no cowin pre-registration.

registration on Cowin is mandatory but not for scheduling appointment.

Corporate. RWA & such mass jabbing events are done w/o Cowin appointment but registration for jabbies is done, pre or post the jab.

I think you didn’t read my post properly

what I meant was that 18+ are having a hard time getting vaccinated & hence are having to book slots where ever they can

But the 45+ don’t require bookings & hence these luxury offers in hotels & basically walk in anywhere they want to

Atleast that was the case just a few days ago

can’t say now with the Corporates & RWA’s getting their own arrangements

Were you required to book a slot with your workplace through co-win?!?

Are you asking me?

My workplace tied up with a 3rd party and it was honestly easier than landing a PS5 preorder drop.

In my case at least , registration on cowin is mandatory along with registration on the 3rd party service provider for securing a slot at workplace.

I had myself registered via the wife on 5/1. But just to avoid any ambiguity, I had her delete me as a dependent and I registered on cowin independently a couple of days ago. The 4 digit registration ID is what will be used as an OTP when we get the jab next week and it will be passed over to cowin and the govt as a confirmation that we are done with our 1st shot.

Hmmm so It’s gotten easier for 18+ too if you are affiliated with an organiser

good

I think it is. Our complex ran a feeler for folks who want to take the 1st shot last weekend. And this week my workplace started on campus drive.
Now I’m hoping someone between my complex and office gives us a 2nd shot come mid-sept.

So I assume this hotel stay thing is also without having to book a slot?!?

Yep.

No slot booking needed.

for scheduling, Cowin  only lists the hospitals, which are open to public, not places which are holding private jabbing.
