A lot of place get footfall just because of ambiance and location, not that they serve great food or something. The gourmet places are suffering the most imo. There is a place near my house, they cook and serve biryani in bamboo, tomato shoraba is prepared at the table. All kind of gimmicks which ppl pay for.
