Everybody is going to watch the new Spidey movie. I don't think people care about Omicron. So all these discussions are honestly useless.

I checked the tickets and even the 1800-2000 Director's cut tickets are getting sold out. Going to skip it coz it is going to be crazy.

To be honest,I don’t see any reason to panic or stop going about your daily lives just yet.
Specially if you’ve been exposed to virus or vaccine before.

Obviously I myself won’t go to the movies as that’s not something necessary but I was going in public gatherings until just a day or two ago.

Until we get any data from SA that proves increased critical care amongst a huge number, there is nothing to really worry.

So far we are just not getting such reports & it’s been almost a month Omicron has been raging there with an R0 of 2.5

Any info on the booster shot in India ? Want everyone in my family above 60 to get it asap. They got their second dose in march.

Same here

Worried about dad.

The official stance is that no clinical trial data is available for Covishield/AZ third booster dose,so they can't just go about it without any.

WHO has already stressed that Covaxin receivers are most eligible for boosters.

Pick a side, bro. Either you go on and about like pre pandemic, or take precautions.

Please don't tell me you believe everyone will come wearing a tight fitted, uncomfortable, disposable N95 masks at the theatres ?

The 1 seat skip rule is useless. We know COVID is airborne. Skipping a seat doesn't do anything.

Fancy theatres might have HVAC, rest will have usual aircons etc, further spreading the virus from one innocuous case.

While I understand not hampering economic activity, let's not say that we believe steps should be taken to curb the virus spread, while at the same time being a part of the spread.

Going to a closed station like a movie theatre is as bad as last year's Kumbh Mela. Just for your pleasure, you're putting everyone at risk, while knowing all the issues (specially peeps on the forum).

Omicron has shown incredible transmission ability. This is the time to be careful.

Yes correct. I was thinking of watching spiderman but will likely skip it now. Too risky unnecessarily.

The amount of transmissibility it has shown so far practically means it unavoidable.

It will practically walk into our homes even if we isolate ourselves.

The only & only precautionary measures left to be done now is vaccines, boosters, adequate supply in health infra.

Obviously it's only human nature to be safe as long as possible, that's why I said I won't do anything that is not absolutely necessary.

Not about the movie , but about going out sometime and relaxing a bit XD

You can relax at open areas, probably with high air flow to ensure minimum transmission.

Movie theatres are not the place.

Making me feel guilty and tensed at the same time....mine is a early morning 7:30am show, hope so there is not enough crowd.

In the past, I did go for Eternals (alone) and Sooryavanshi (with my family)....we did follow all the protocols (mask, sanitizer, etc). Last week went to Barbecue Nation as well....so far, so good. I think taking vaccines and post that following COVID protocols is the key.

Waiting for a new Pfizer conspiracy theory.

Edit:

As he says, variant specific vaccines needed, probably as boosters.

Its SPIDER-MAN day 1 show bro. Doesnt matter what time or which theatre you book, you will end up in a near packed theatre. Hype is real.
