Yeah bro of course its a matter of personal preference. Eg I really enjoyed days gone, but i know people whose opinions I genuinely respect a lot, who found it boring. The context here was that after a hiatus from gaming of about 5 years, days gone was the open world console game i picked up, so my utility from playing that was higher. In your case you're coming back to FC almost straight after FC3, so you're enjoying it more.

I don't understand why ubi is stuck with this same style of gameplay since farcry 3.

Theyre very aware of the issue but its the nature of the company that prevents them from breaking out of this. The yearly release cycle leaves very little time to build innovative systems. Like with a new mechanic that you want to test, you would need to get buy in from several people, and a one year release cycle is just not conducive to that.

So they like to design a new location map, new characters, hire some mediocre writers to hack out a basic story and insipid dialogue, make minor changes to the gameplay systems and then go BALLZ TO THE WALLZ WITH MARKETING.

Launch with a bang... Ka-ching ... repeat until company loses most of its value.

To break out of this they would have to stop new releases for a while, tell me which CEO is going to get the job if he tells the board his plan is to stop milking the cash cow for a while, to pursue a direction that may work spectacularly or may crash and burn the company.

They just want to play it safe. Their entire strategy revolves around finding a winning formula and remaking it with different skins ad nauseum.

Every Ubisoft is a remake of assasins Creed. There are Towers, a skill tree, multiple weapons of no consequence and outposts to clear.

Anytime the artists come up with a new idea, it has to fit in the template.

Ubisoft is a creatively bankrupt company.

I really don't like skill trees in games like these. It's action game FFS, i don't wanna spend an hour deciding which skill to pick or which direction to take.

Leave that to hardcore RPGs like Elden Ring or Baldurs Gate.

Far Cry 6 doesn't have a skill tree. They removed that system and fused the skills into weapon, armour & supremo upgrades.

Same here. Played it on sat and sunday and really liked it! Played it on the xsx and fell in love with the graphics, and the music and entire vibe feels awesome, feels like im in there fighting in the revolution!

But with so many games in backlog, and so many in gamepass, and so little time. Should I really spend the 2k with a chance I don't play this for more than a few more hours? :console: Can I continue this digital version using a physical disk if I find that cheaper somewhere?

So this is on sale on EGS for 1k, is it worth a buy?

I was playing FC5 and liking it but not fully, like the attachments for the guns are all the same, and none of the guns except the shotgun have any visible effect on enemies when you shoot them with it.

Plus this is a big issue, there are no hit indicators( the x on your crosshair when you hit/kill enemies ) so sometimes like when firing using a sniper rifle scope on a moving enemy I have no idea whether the enemy is getting hit or not.

I was checking out gameplay videos of FC6 and they have improved on this, there are hit indicators, enemies have health bars., there seem to be more weapon types atleast for assault rifles, FC5 by comparison has the AC-R then that meme rifle from RDR2, then another old a*s semi auto rifle, reskins of both and finally an ak47 after liberating 6 regions

So basically for 1k is it worth it? I don't like far cry normally but having a great khujli for shooting stuff, fps tps doesn't matter, I am okay with ubi oben world since I don't play like every ubi open world copy pasta game that comes out.

If y'all have any other suggestions also tell me

Looking for

  • FPS or TPS with hit indicators
  • "Modern" setting, not something weird like doom or wolfenstein, already played those
  • Lots of weapon variety
  • Lots of attachment/weapon customization, think battlefield 4 or ghost recon wildlands or even crysis 3 lol
  • meaty single player campaign

If you don't mind Ubi open world then this is good choice.

You can also consider Rage 2 for top tier gameplay since you wanna play a shooter.

Am playing Farcry 5 on GP and game plays so good with fps boost. Didn't expect it at all. Only issue is open world.

Developed by Ubisoft Toronto, Far Cry 6 is undoubtedly the best looking and feeling game in the series to date. While it doesn't have the same narrative hooks as the best Far Cry game of all time, it does do an excellent job of getting you lost in a truly gorgeous open world.

Another game that fulfills all your conditions is the Metro Series (If you've not played it yet). An amazing story, modern setting (Though kind of post-apocalyptic and awesome story). You can get Metro Series for very cheap now -

1) Metro 2033 Redux - 168 Rs (Remake of 1st Game)

2) Metro Last Light Redux - 168 Rs (Remake of 2nd Game)

3) Metro Exodus Gold Edition  - 277 Rs (Latest Game with awesome graphics and all Story DLCs)

I played both FC5 and FC6 when both games had their free weekends. I can tell you can 6 felt way better than 5.

5 was pretty garbage in terms of atmosphere and satisfaction. I hated the American Countryside theme and capturing bases felt like the most limp dick sh*t ever.

FC6 is much better in that respect. Only thing is I didn't get much time to experiment with that grenade backpack mechanic they have. I'll probably get FC6 when it gets cheaper + my backlog is done.

For reference, the only FC game I played before this was FC3 and I loved that to death.

Borderlands 3 maybe? Hope you got it when it was free on EGS

Enjoying this, it's way better than Far Cry 5 although I miss the "specialist" or guns for hire whatever instead of being limited to wild animals.

Gun variety has been turned up to 11, there are much more attachments now, high tier guns get more types of attachments and slots, plus the UI improvements are also good, like you can get info about the guns you haven't even discovered yet, and progression is fixed since you can't buy every gun from a shop now, you have to go clear an outpost and find it in stash, one big improvement is you can switch ammo types on the fly now, no need to buy seperately.

Radio songs in the vehicle also are much better than whatever was in FC5.

Graphics are also good, but you need to turn on TAA + fidelity CAS which is a sharpener, fire effects were better in FC5 tho.

I wish there were more enemies in the outpost type areas you need to clear, like need a legit reason to use those backpack rockets

Wild Animals are hilarious. This is especially since each animal (After the first) has their own quest chain to unlock.

You can buy guns and mods still. What is available to you for purchase depends on your Guerilla level. That said, in my playthrough - I've got a standard load-out and I've not changed it for a long time. Modded Sniper Rifle is my favorite (Along with a Modded Rocket Launcher for Helicopters/Armored Vehicles/Tanks etc.)

Radio Songs in this game is simply mind blowing. Amazing that they got full on Spanish Song play-lists. Amazing music, and also helps a lot in immersion.

The end game offers some really good challenges with Special Operations with variable difficulty levels to test your weapon/gear builds. If you have maxed out most, it's a good way to test them out. Unfortunately, they hadn't released the gear loadout saving patch when I was playing it and the constant gear switching got tedious. It's available now, so definitely try that out.

I would also strongly advise getting hold of the Angelito FW Turbo and/or the Avispa Buzzer. Just YouTube their location and they'll make your travelling journey infinitely better. I'd recommend going for the Avispa Buzzer as it's easy to control. Just watch out for the AA cannons that can knock out of sky if you fly within their range. You can take them out pretty easily too from the ground.

Get your aimgos leveled up. There is a secret amigo which is extremely OP and is only available through a good side quest, Do not miss that one. For general tanking purposes Guapo is great.

Yes I read about the black panther, probably get it later on, for now tho my guns are enough:raygun:

Guapo is 10/10, I find it cute the way he walks on his stubby little lizard feet and when he jumps on some unfortunate soldado

btw how does fast travel work in this? there are those location pins but they are black, so how do i unlock it? i'm currently in madrugada province doing that montero family main quest.

Your guerilla bases will always have a normal fast travel point by default. Later on, you can capture enemy checkpoints and other bases to unlock more fast travel spots. You can unlock the wingsuit ability by building a hideout network at the Madrugada camp. This should be useful to just wingsuit drop on a fast travel location and glide across most points.
