North
Hi, I used to use my PS4 Pro on a 4K TV before, so its was on the max video resolution. I plan to now use it on a 1080p IPS monitor. Do I need to bump it down to 1080p for it to work? Then I'll use Remote Play to change the settings as I'm not getting output on my TV right now. Or if I just plug in the HDMI it'll work directly? Also if it does work directly without me changing the video resolution, I assume its better to bump it down to 1080p? Or should I just leave it? Thank you Edited July 25, 2020 by Chirag2001
rAgHaV
I think if you just plugin directly it'll auto detect the new monitor and set the resolution to 1080p. In case it doesn't, you can use Remote Play as stated but I think the display settings are locked in remote play (not sure but many settings are). Finally in case nothing works (very less chance of this happening) you may reset the video settings of the pro while it is plugged in to your 1080p monitor.
