Uncharted comes, everybody calls it a rip off of tomb raider. Uncharted 2 happens, blows the lid off in the action adventure genre. Half Life 2 is one of greatest games ever made, but saying that it revolutionized shooter genre when none of the great shooters had nothing in common with the gameplay or even the weapons. Similarly no great superhero game came after Arkham series. All were trash like Deadpool or Spider-Man movie spin offs, with occasional good game like Shatters Dimensions, until Spider-Man PS4 came along. Now, spiderman has used the Arkham blueprint to make a great Spiderman game, nothing wrong with that. Just as TR2013 used Uncharted as a blueprint... Basically, Zodka says that because Arkham games came before and Spiderman is inspired by it, it is impossible for anyone to find it better than Arkham. He says Arkham games are objectively better than Spiderman which is obviously stupid on 2 fronts. What came before is irrelevant. Second, there is no objective opinion in any form of art (at least in most cases). It's a matter of opinion, some like spiderman more, others like Arkham games more (like me and many others), but no denying both are awesome games... Also that developer was practically free since 2013 launch of Arkham Origins. The announcement we saw last year about this was nothing really as it was all CG. Atleast they were ready with a full story render trailer in a year. There are developers out there who show CG trailers & go mum for 2-3 years.
