You should play ff7 remake, thats the pinnacle of ff games.

I played the demo on PS4pro.

It was next level stuff obviously.

Since my childhood I had this fixation with FF7,it's animation, art, lore & character design.

But just couldn't get around playing the actual game coz turn based was never my cup of tea.

When remake was announced I was really happy & almost subscribed to PS+ the month it was given but held back after knowing it wasn't upgradable(only to be a 180 months later).

I am moving up a specific ladder of games in my backlog & it's obviously in there.

I just hope it's given in PS+Extra catalog now.

FF6 was the pinnacle of FF games. There wasn't been any FF game, outside of tactics, which has been as good

It was great. But I was spoiled about the twist beforehand. So wasn't as impressive.

Still great game but I personally rate FF7 (PS1) and FF X higher.

Combat, like ff15, looks terrible

They should've stuck to FF7 R combat. This one i dunno, how it works. SE very rarely make good combat so I have my doubts it will be good.

I loved both FF7 and X but would still rate 6 much higher.

Did they improve it in Royal? I remember playing it on ps4 for some time and it was just hold [] to win.

Why does it have bad combat in action category?!?

I never said I was excited because of combat as I have yet to experience it.

I said I’m excited to play a non turn based FF game for the first time….as that genre wasn’t my cup of tea whenever I tried.

Did your post or tag had any other meaning other than that or was it another one of those @AnK blah & blah & blah?!?

It's button mashy, and you're forced to use the teleport sword mechanic in FF15, also the magic is sh*t, once in a while things go slow mo and you get a prompt to press a button to parry enemy attack.

FF7 Remake has decent combat tho, and the magic works how you'd expect it to, you can also play as party members, use their abilities etc.

imo FF7 Remake is better :fear:

Played both like a year or two back so my memory is hazy.

Ff15 has a wierd combat. Even though its hack and slash, its never as satisfying as let's say Devil may cry.

Ff7 remake shits on ff15 from orbit. Imo play FF7 remake instead of FF15.

Yeah I will give it a try for sure as it’s part of PS+Collection already.

If don’t like it will move on……beautiful aspect of subscription gaming.

Seems Square Enix management seems to be interested in picking up on NFT trends. I seriously hope FF16 isn't affected; I'm sure it isn't.

I did a quick wiki check, and thankfully Yoshida-san will be the producer for FF16 as well (the article above says Yoshi-P continues to resist NFT).

Just thought I'd share it here since I've been out of the loop with FF16 since moving over to Series X. This is the one big regret that I will never get to play haha.

New Final Fantasy XVI details

- Eikon battles are playable with multiple stages; each of them feels different
- Clive can encounter them as a small human
- Clive will live through different stages (teen/20s/30s)
- rated mature due to its adult themes

On XVI's combat

- new combat system is due to wanting to get new players on board & because it fits better with the game's presentation
- Defeating an Eikon means unlocking its abilities/skill tree
- apparently Clive can become an Eikon himself

On parties/companions in FFXVI

- Clive appears to be the only controllable character
- you will encounter companions that will be AI-driven
- Torgal, the wolf, could be a full-time party member
- more infos on parties soon

Yoshida also confirmed that FFXVI will not be open-world and use larger zones instead to create a sense of a "global scale"

(It might still have certain features inspired by recent AAA open-world games)
