Kratos isn’t really a full God

he is a Demigod

I fully expect the A tier gods like Thor & Odin to be taller than him

We have already seen Tyr to depict the same

He replaced Ares & became God of War

When he killed Zeus and other A tier Gods he replaced himself and became one.

He still doesn't know how to use and control it.

He was born a demigod. He became a full-on god when he took Ares's place as the God of War at the end of the original.

Baldr and Freya are both full Gods - Major Gods in fact, same as Thor. Both are not as tall as Tyr. In fact, it doesn't even matter. If you played God of War 2, you know Gods can change their height freely. Kratos used to be taller than buildings (Before Zeus stripped his power). Same for Zeus I think. The re-animated Colossus of Rhodes was also taller than buildings (All 3 of them were taller than Tyr).

He was a God of War & obviously took the throne but doesn’t change his origins

Actually no

Freya isn’t an Asgardian

That makes Balder only half Asgardian

You know a demi god can become a god right?

So where his origin changed?

What I meant to say is that he’ll always have blood of a mortal in his veins

& that can’t change by any sort of accolade

We're talking about God's and their cosmic powers here, why is it so hard for a demigod to attain the level of a God?! Why can't the blood of a human ever ascend to God hood? Maybe that's what's called apotheosis?

Apotheon is of Status…..not Origins

He is a God now,but there will be something mortal in him forever

Maybe that’s what separates him from pure blooded Gods

Maybe that’s why he doesn’t crave for worship like them

Maybe that’s why he wants to raise his child as a mortal

Nope, Tyr the god of war in norse mythology proved it that there are good gods as well. Kratos knows betraying own bloodline won't end well but it's in their prophecy and cannot be changed.

Hence, the change in behaviour was certain. He wants to break the cycle.

Even Athena proved a lot of things in the first two games of the original cycle

But that ended real well huh

Never underestimate a God’s craving of worship

They can go to any bounds to feel Godly & worshipped

Kratos on the other hand has no problem with a life of anonymity & isolation

He wants to be forgotten & wants his son to abandon his God/Giant hood & the Destiny that follows

Rest we’ll have to wait to get answers

Quote

Fans who played the last game know they were able to visit six of the Nine Realms during their journey. In God of War Ragnarök, you will be able to visit all nine!

God of War Ragnarök will take you to the previously unreachable Vanaheim, Svartalfheim, and Asgard – as well as to new areas from locations featured in the last game. Exploring the realms will take you everywhere from verdant, otherworldly jungles to intricate subterranean mining networks.

3 new realms added, old 6 remain the same.

I hope they keep the Give Me God of War mode from the last one!

That's what i meant. Whatever good deeds they do tyr, athena it's all in vein. Even gods cannot change their prophecy and the cycle of patricide will always will be in their bloodline.

So kratos has become a major god but abandoned his godly hood. He is forced to act like it, first because of his wife and now his son. Where it leads in this storyline yes we'll find out.
