Root
So my R2 and L2 both buttons do not work on my controller. How can I repair it myself and where can I buy the replacement parts?
Walker
It's easily repairable. However there are a few things to check. 1) inspect the triggers themselves to make sure nothings cracked or broken 2) check the silicon conductive pad isn't worn out (highly likely this needs to be replaced.) 3) the button ribbon board (probably this is not the issue) All are available on amazon. Walker
V1 Triggers - https://www.amazon.in/dp/B009N4JB2W/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_x_QLzCFbWB54SJB V2 Triggers - https://www.amazon.in/New-Trigger-Button-Replacement-Controller/dp/B07FD5RH2J/ Conductive pads - https://www.amazon.in/Replacement-Silicone-Conductive-Wireless-Controller/dp/B00IMIM1M2/ V1 ribbon board - https://www.amazon.in/New-World-Replacement-Wireless-Controller/dp/B01M638HFL/ The ribbon boards have a few different versions so you'll have to check the board version. It will be printed on the controller board itself.
Root
Encountered a weird issue Once I opened the controlled I noticed the ribbon had torn off so I replaced it which was quite simple and straight forward. Once assembled but before closing the cashing I tested all the buttons on https://gamepad-tester.com/ site looks perfect, all gave me 1 including R2 & L2 Now I close the casing and then I get the trouble yet again, I tried this multiple times and still same, issue. Could the problem be with the casing or the buttons which I didn;t replace thinking issue is with ribbon.

Walker
Cant be sure what it is. Might have to do a full tear down and clean. Just to be clear is it the narrow ribbon cable that connect to the charging socket? Because that should not affect the Triggers. Those should work even without the cable connected. That only is used to charge and supply power to the led. Edited October 22, 2020 by Walker

Walker
Nothing to really do there except to check if the contact pads have any wear and tear. Likely contact pad and contact sheet may need cleaning or replacement. No glue or anything required.
Root
I have ordered the contact pads and sheet but I did a major f**kup while assembling. I broke the two small pins to fit L1 button which idealy should be easy slide. Any idea what is the internal frame call and where can I get? I can't find on amazon
Walker
Oh boy. Bad luck. Look for Dualshock 4 inner frame/support. I doubt you'll find it on Amazon India. Might be worth a look on ebay. Edited October 23, 2020 by Walker
