If a console is popular in a country, company usually starts manufacturing it there to reduce prices. Which is not the case here. No console was manufactured here till date. You're comparing a company that sells phones from 15k to 1.5L. against a product that only has 1 SKU. There are many businesses that manufacture in India to promote their business here without any market share initially. Automobiles, Pharma being some examples. Its not how much you sell, but how seriously you take the market. Obviously, you don't create a market by: 1. Charging customers 25-30% more what you charge in other countries despite knowing that the purchasing power of people here is less. 2. Giving lesser services for more money. (Online services like Share Play etc.) Indians don't get these features of Sony despite paying more for PS Plus membership. As I said before, don't be blind lovers of a brand. Afterall, there are fans who are even justifying Apple's move to remove charger and earpods from new phones too but it doesn't make it right.
