Chor he CC wale. They have tried atleast 12 times to charge for different sh*t.

I have all corporate cards, so mostly free if I shop for more than 15k in a year, which almost always happens on every card since I buy via CC and then immediately repay the due( except obviously no cost emi waala)

I mean if you cancel later when the EMI conversion already happened in cycle

I am not sure about this. Usually there are two parts to EMI: Interest and Service fee (usually in range of 250-350 + GST). I had cancelled two FK orders in Nov. Both were purchased on EMI, one from HDFC card and other from Axis. FK refunded me the whole amount but I had to call the bank and cancel the EMI. Axis refunded the service fee without any issues, while for HDFC I had to shoot them an email.

Are you purchasing personal items on corporate cards ? Isn't that a huge compliance violation at your workplace ?

And AFAIK, corporate cards shouldn't have a minimum limit on them. There's a reason they are corporate.

To personal hua na. :bash:

The place where I work, If we buy a single personal item via our corp card, you lose your job. As simple as that. I hate them. Prefer to use personal cards, but it's a mandate to use corp cards on all business travels. :ranting:

I guess it will still be cheaper than full interest? Around 1500 or so? Let me check with the bank nearer to 2nd Feb.

Yes, it will be cheaper. Most banks charge to the tune of 2.5% preclosure charges.

If you opted for merchant EMI as against manual EMI conversion, then it's even better. Most sites do not charge any processing fee on EMI, but some of them do.

I am planning to do this once the first 3 EMI condition is over and I get the cash back on the TV purchase, it will actually save me good money if I close the loan, dunno if its possible but will try..

Definitely possible. I've done this before.

But do double check if you opted for no cost emi (doesn't seem to be the case for you I guess).  See if the 2.5% charge is lesser than the 18%GST on interest that's charged.

Yeah, its no cost, so they give the discount upfront and charge interest every month right.. we can even avoid that interest for rest of the month if what they say is true i.e close the loan after 3 months by paying 2.5 or 3% and GST on it... so the product price was 1.7L but adjusted loan showing in CC is around 1.56 I think.. will know by March

May be wrong, but I think you'll end up paying the upfront discount. Else everyone can use this method to get items for way lesser than MRP.
