Bioware has seemingly without any mention has removed the teaser for the next mass effect game from almost all social media channels.

Yoo, I just checked and seems to be true. Mass Effect official channel delisted the teaser. ?

I didn’t see any sense in reviving the old trilogy anyway.

Unless it’s a reboot like the new GoW(both design & universe),it just doesn’t make sense to keep beating a dead horse.

Andromeda = Utter flop

ME Legendary Edition = Full price game for a resolution upgrade + dlcs which were over-priced the first time around (They were not even able to include all DLCs)

Anthem = Utter flop

Dragon Age 4 = Nowhere to be seen, despite being announced in 2018; devs are not even sure how to salvage the game from it's original live service roots. I won't be surprised if the game is completely cancelled or comes out as a broken, hollow shell of itself - just to push something out.

It's time to face the facts. The original Bioware is dead. Anything that comes from this will just be a try-hard attempt and plea to EA "Please don't disband us; we can still make games".

There are new kings of the CRPG Genre, who have already claimed the throne. Larian , Obsidian and THQ Nordic are the kings, and Owlcat Games is also there on the wings. There's no point in being sad about this. Frankly, it might be better if EA sells off the franchise or outsourcing development to MS or Larian - they have a very good chance to make a far better game than Bioware at this point IMO. EA can have some exclusive marketing deals with them in return for a good game.

It's not EA's fault here. BioWare has been making dogshite game after dogshite game even after working for so many years. The old BioWare people are just not there. Aged/retired/moved on.

Remnant and SpellForce 3 were good while Darksiders III and ELEX were average but still better than what BioWare has put in recent years if you ignore the visual department.

They also published Desperados III which was awesome and working on Gothic 1 Remake next. :thumbsup:

TBH, Apart from Anthem, none if the games really had any push from EA for microtransactions. They can't really blame EA for other shite flopped games. They probably remastered the Mass Effect to generate some cash for EA so that they don't shut them down while they try to put together one last effort in Dragon Age
