Dogs, you walk in the door after stepping out for 15 mins and they'll jump up and treat you like you've gone away for years. Cats will probably look at you with disdain, with an expression akin to the *beep* you want?

That's why dogs > cats.

Also, the more maintenance dogs require, they more than repay you : security, no guard needed etc

Also more useful in many other ways.

We also now have a new desi dog,

Don't have pics.

I didn't take him in but it was a mistake and family members have wanted him gone from long inspite of them bringing him.

I was like why bring him in if wanted to do this.

But he is really destructive and maybe not as smart as better breeds.

Shoes, sandals, digging holes, tearing stuff all was fine.

But he started to tear two wheeler seats.

Not once, multiple times.

Can't keep him inside the home either.

Doesn't sit at a place, just wants to destroy.

So, now keep him caged all day, have to walk him thrice a day and also leave him open for half an hour and need to sit there.

Wanted to release him away as well, why keep someone caged all day but he's so stupid that he will find the biggest dog out and fight with it and die.

Once walking him I was almost caught between their fight and almost bitten.

For people who have full time jobs outside the home, leaving a dog alone is not something I would recommend for them. Dogs need company. I grew up in a house with 4 dogs so I know what you're talking about. Also cats kick a*s

We've left her home a few times by herself for 8-10 hours. She mostly sleeps or sits in the balcony staring into space or sleeping. Nothing's been destroyed so far. She has her toys she plays with and chases around when she's bored and we are busy. Cats generally are not destructive. At least do not require as much maintenance as much as dogs. Cats just need food, clean water and a place to poop. Dogs are like kids. Need more love and attention. Dogs, you walk in the door after stepping out for 15 mins and they'll jump up and treat you like you've gone away for years. My kitten meows at us if we leave him alone and come back after a couple of hours. Almost like, what the hell have you been upto types.

We've left him at a pet boarding now. For like 18 days in total since we had to come to my hometown. I am half afraid that he's forgotten me already

We are thinking of getting another kitten so that he's not alone when/if we start going back to office.

No money for him.

Getting a desi was also a reason because of money.

Doctor fees tak ke liye baatein huyi thi.

But this attitude is bad.

Although, previous German shepherd wasn't trained either but he was smart.

We had a doggie like that. Constantly moving. Had to be constantly busy or she would find something to destroy. Very very high strung. Had to eventually give her to my uncle who had a big house with huge garden in the village. I guess some dogs need space.

Abi breeding season bi chalu hai.

Bahar all dogs moan and have sex and he goes crying.

Now he is very calm as shifted his cage to where he can't see the outside road and sleeps most of the time.

If released out, he will just fight with the male ones.

Now, where to do find a clean female desi dog.

No breeder will give a good dog for him and no one pets female desi dogs.

watch youtube videos and train yourself. I trained both of my dogs myself. Have to spend some time but its not hard.

German shepherd training was easy, desi training is hard.

He even jumped to the Neighbors house from the 8 ft wall.

And dug holes in their garden.

New limit to what dogs can do.

If you are getting another kitten, do read up on it first. Our cat doesn't play nice with other cats at all. We've tried getting another kitten, but she was hostile and constantly trying to kill him so we had to take him back. The second time we didnt introduce them to each other for 2 weeks, just letting them smell each other through the door etc. She tried to kill the second one too :(

Damn :/ At the cat boarding, he is trying to make friends with a long time foster (older cat). But the other cat didnt give a damn and started spraying to mark territort ??

That's why we want to get another kitten/cat relatively soon before he grows up. But will definitely read up before getting another one.

Yeah it's just that my cat has issues (she was abused, lost an eye and was abandoned before we adopted her from the shelter). We house sat a friend's cat and she was very sweet, but our cat was still aggressive anyway.  May not be a problem for you, but better to be prepared.

Try giving him a pen and paper. Am sure he’ll scribble #SirBoomBoomWhen

I know it's a matter of ethics for some people, but isn't neutering him better than not allowing his sexual urge to be satisfied?

We neutered our kitten just over a month back.

Uhh, yes, doesn't seem right, better to leave him and live his life however he does if it comes to that, maybe he will learn with time.

Also, if he has urges again, would bring a cleaner dog with food inside for a few hours.

The last German shepherd had sex only on two separate occasions, maybe because he didn't see his mates, it was enough.

Also, just adding, there are people who do manual method as well with animals.(the way humans do with themselves)
