The QC print out showed testing done during Sept 2019, so it's at least 16-17 months old packing. I tried running the tv and PS5 on it after some 30 mins of charging, but it hardly lasted for a minute. Good thing is nothing for switched off suddenly. Guess will charge fully and see. Else APC on site is good from what I know. Battery replacement shouldn't be an issue. Also the plug is the bigger 15A plug, so make sure you've a point for it. Thanks for the early impressions man. But just 1 min. is too less. I will DM you after maybe a week to get your feedback.

The inverter will anyway take care of the load afterwards. For a 150w TV and 350w PS5, this should last for 15-20 mins I think. The sellers have zero idea, so you're on your own. Got it from NP last year for 5.5k I think I might need an additional UPS for ps5, as series X + OLED + PS5 are giving internal error on UPS when all connected (even though only TV and ps5 was on). Any idea of the power demands of ps5? Thinking either a standalone 600va for ps5 or might get the 1500 va for all 3 together.

Assuming only 1 console is running with TV, you will need 1500va. 600va wouldn't be enough just for Ps5, you will need 1100va for that. Yeah if its 350 w for ps5 i'll get another 1100 va one.

Yeah if its 350 w for ps5 i'll get another 1100 va one. 1100VA is 660W but there will be losses and real capacity will be around 560W. Now, XSX can take 315W max and OLED around 150W, that is 465W. That shouldn't be a problem but OLEDs can spike way higher and get very close to that figure and trigger the inbuilt cutoff. So you gotta be careful regarding that.
Bird Bird Bird
Yeah. @Shantz mentioned the same yesterday. OLEDs can spike upto 350w too, so better have headroom.
LordSpymaster
Read the recent posts on this thread. So, based on my understanding, if I need a UPS just for the PS5, and backup should be max 20 minutes (lesser works too), I should go for a 1100 VA model? And APC is a good brand? Also, I'm thinking of the attached model, it should be fine for the above requirements right?
Bird Bird Bird
@kkapoorr This will work if only for PS5. Heck, get the 1000VA one (600w). It has a display to show power load etc. And you can turn off the beeping sound.
LordSpymaster
Yeah i only need it for the PS5, no other device. Let me see the 1000VA one.
hope
I have a 4k TV but not an OLED. TV plus PS5 i need to connect,1100VA one wont do?
0verlord
APC Back-UPS BX1100C-IN 1100VA / 660W has this issue, what do you think? I need it only for XSX, so 660W should be sufficient I think Quote Everything works fine with this UPS when it's running. The problem starts when you turn it off. The moment you turn off the UPS and press the off switch in your room the fans start. Wait what? Shouldn't the fans stop? Well that's where the flaw is. When you turn off the room switch the ups thinks that there has been a power outage and it starts, for 5 minutes and then it realises false alarm and turns off. This is clearly a design flaw and if you go through the other reviews you can see everyone else is asking if this is normal. No it isn't. It's not supposed to start when it's powered off. Good thing? APC knows it, they just don't care. Will it reduce the UPS's life? Yep it will that's why they've kept the 1 year warranty. Saw the 1000VA one, 9K is a bit too much for me tbh.The normal 1100va without display is fine for me.Any other brands that are as good as APC? Might go to Croma and RD today to check out offline availability.
Keyofx
I suppose the main reason anyone would look at a UPS at all is because of inverter switchover delay. It's really annoying, and happens randomly for some reason. Are there any inverters that don't have this delay? @Shantz @Bird Bird Bird or @kunjanp? Try googling some Line interactive inverters (generally around 4-6ms delay). But if you want to completely eliminate delay then search for Online inverters. No delay but will cost much more.

I have an inverter that lets the PS4 continue without interruption even though my hue lights blink during a switchover. Microtek Sinewave. The exact model is UPS SEBz 1700 V3.
