Noise cancellation is present but obviously not top of the line. I have a very fast ceiling fan in my room and it was definitely able to suppress the noise by 80-90%. Tbh, I won't be using the mic a lot. Not a MP guy. Virtual surround sound and better sound quality is the real deal for me. For the first time I can hear the individual foot steps in game.
