abhi90 Posted September 29, 2008 Report Share Posted September 29, 2008 Ok,moving straight to the matter here are the steps:- http://192.168.1.1/ this is the modem url admin/admin - userid/pass go to Interface Setup-->wireless select authentication type WEP 64bit Or Just select wireless if you dont have interface setup then select key 1 and enter your password Note:-Either you may be required to enter a 10digit alphanumeric password preceded by 0xeg:- 0xpassword11 Or You will be asked to simply enter a Five digit alphanumeric passwordeg:- panel Press Save The next time you login wirelessly you will have to reconfigure it and enter the password you entered above. So by protecting your WiFi, you are helping in a good way. godspeed4476 Posted September 29, 2008 Report Share Posted September 29, 2008 AFAIK no matter how hard u try u r IP address is not secured be it wired or wirless connection..........u see the GI admins come to know abt our IP address each time we log in..........and in present scenario GI admins are bigger terrorist then osama bin laden as confirmed by shivraj patil( those who disagree refer to GI MEET 4).
