gamer_adi
So, an european just gave me 1 Euro, and paypal deducted 0.46 as fees? Is that normal. What can i do about it? Anybody here a paypal expert?
Guest
It is normal. You can do nothing about it than pay the fee or ask the buyer to cover your fee.

DinJo
Yes you could ask him to pay under family and friends which would evade fees

Also, after that charge, will they charge a further 5% to convert the currency to INR before sending to my bank a/c?

USA to USA / domestic personal accounts are free otherwise. International is 5.00%. Friends & Family option also removes the purchase protection. Purchase protection might be important for some of them, but some i can convince to send as friend. But you say they can't send as friend to an indian a/c? Cash
Paypal is absolute garbage. They don't have a functioning customer support and we are left waiting like donkeys to get our money. One of the worst services in the internet era.

Sapola
Paypal transaction fee is just big scam. A company I provided services for, decided to pay me via PayPal, I asked them to wire but they didn’t realise or probably didn’t care that how much I am gonna receive in the end. I lost nearly 120$ for 1500$ I stood to receive. Then next time they sent 1760$ to compensate and cover. 280$ for two transaction, total ripoff. This is not true, they have one of the most awesome customer care. I have had several receiving and sending issues and I have spent 30mins on a call once to understand things,
