killroy
@shockwave...no you are the right person...arent you the one who said, "People who don't like oblivion either don't like rpgs or never got past the sewers." So yeah I call hogwash on that again. Edited November 8, 2009 by killroy
Noctis
played for some time, game looks good, how does the save system work,i have no problem with difficulty, but replaying from starting everytime >_< lol, it doesn't work that way. 90% of the difficulty here comes from the lack of a save feature. If there was one then it would not have been so tough.
Bulovski
It's an autosave thingie
Noctis
no save @ all ? are u guyz saying that we need to finish this game in 1 go? No, think more like restarting a level.
killroy
But if you want to leave the game anytime then FYI the game saves frequently. In case you have to go somewhere, just find a safe place and quit the game...the game will start from that very spot or a spot very close to it. achilles
hmmm... so all u gotta do to save is quit then restart.. the game got easier already edit : oka.. but if u die after ull start from the begenning.. the game just got tough agn Edited November 9, 2009 by achillef
shockwave
@shockwave...no you are the right person...arent you the one who said, "People who don't like oblivion either don't like rpgs or never got past the sewers." So yeah I call hogwash on that again. Yeah that was me .. but then your post does doesn't make any connection. If you think oblivion is not an RPG then that's your opinion. Secondly you say I make a false statement again. Care to tell me where did I make other such false statements? As for the 'strong claim' I didn't claim anything. I just stated the fact. Few friends of mine ditched the game actually because they were bored of the dark sewers in the beginning. Obviously it's nothing new for a seasoned RPG'r. killroy
I never said Oblivion was not an RPG...its just that anyone who does not like Oblivion, does not like RPG's is a bit too far fetched...thats all. Anyways...getting back to topic, to people who have actually played Demon's Souls...how frequently does the red knight drop the purple flame shield? I killed the Boletaria flame dragon and tried to lift the shield but I was overweight, so when i went back, lost some weight and got back, there was no shield. So ever since ive been killing red knights again and again to get the shield but all my efforts are in vain.

killroy
@shadoken There is something called world tendency events that will change tendency to white or black. This is a very important part of the game if you want every weapon, trophy and enemy in the game. But its almost impossible to get everything in the first go. The Old King Duran event is an extremely important world tendency change event. I wont spoil anything for you, but I suggest you do what you think is right in the first playthrough. In the second playthrough do the exact opposite. If you still want more spoilers, ill help you out and clearly mention what happens. But i strongly advise you to have a first unadulterated playthrough and let events depend on your own choice. Save all the pre-emptive planning for the second playthrough. Shadoken
yes i know world tendencies affect who comes and what events take place but 2 things are we allowed to go to full white tendency and then keep dying/killing and go all the way to full black tendency? do items carry over in ng+?
killroy
Primevil demon appears at full black tendency... From what ive heard thanks to some blue phantoms, you need the body revival stones(ephermeal?) and you have to die repeatedly and use stones...and world tendency turns to black, then kill primevil demon that appears and change tendency to white buy doing so. I havent yet gone to NG+, so i cant answer that question dude. I cant just stop praising this game again and again. Nothing of recent has been so engrossing. Shadoken
yea same here....best rpg i have played in a while.....i just hope ng+ meets expectations and this game has almost infinite replayability edit : i think the demon appears at -90% tendency....killing the demon would give u +90% which would leave u at neutral tendency....i guess you would have to start killing invading players as they give +30% Edited November 9, 2009 by shadoken

shockwave
I never said Oblivion was not an RPG...its just that anyone who does not like Oblivion, does not like RPG's is a bit too far fetched...thats all. Ya but I never said that too. I said anyone who doesn't like Oblivion either doesn't like RPGs or never got past the sewers (Which means s/he may like RPGs .. but didn't play more because the sewers bored them). There ain't much to hate the game for otherwise, IMO. But let's stick to Demon's Souls..
hammerhead
Killed the Penentrator and I must say that this game has to be one of the best I have played, right along with HL1&2, Diablo2 and Fallout3. The combat is amazing, the bosses are brilliant, superb environment. I tremble before entring a boss fight and rejoice after beating him. I am glad I picked this one up
