Completed the game . Loved the Visuals, Audio , Story and Voice acting . The combat was a hit and miss sometimes but overall a very good game.  

The scale in this sequel is huge when  compared to Innocence. The locations , rat filled action sequences are just amazing. Definitely inspired from Naughty dog.

Hope this does not ends there. There are rumors of the sequel coming up going by the job listings.

The director said last year that they are done with the series but he also said "Never say never" or something like that .

The job listings might be for their next project too but yeah you never know.

Post credits scene hints towards a modern setting but might have just been put there with no real plans as such at that time . Hugo and Amicia's story is done and a third part with completely different characters may not appeal that much to the fans of the first 2 games .

It’s is absolutely essential before Requiem.

I myself am halfway through & it was quite good until it got lack of further creativity.

But nice one indeed that I would want to finish sooner than later.

Yup should definitely play the first one before Requiem. And yeah I would say it's worth it for 750 bucks. Game story would last around 12-14 hours and is a pretty good game in itself.

Finished this some time back, gotta say, its bigger and better than first game in every way. I liked new additions and some gameplay changes. Stealth sections are drastically improved and pacing is just right. I liked the story and I liked the fact that they ended the arc. Graphics were pretty great too. 

 

I think more people should play this game. It is available on PSN (if claimed). It may not be for everybody, but whoever played first game must play this too. I played first game when it came out.

 

My major problem with the game is its technical issues, framerate problems (thankfully only in first half of game) and game breaking bugs! I encountered one and if not for loading previous save feature, it would have ended my journey. Game is pretty long but it doesn't feel like a drag, so I am good on that front. 

 

PS (no spoiler): End credits hints a sequel in modern times. Would be a great change of settings, navigating with electric torches with depleting batteries!!!

It's much darker than the first one. If you dont like the first one then you probably dont like the sequel.

If you didn't like first one, this may not be a good choice. Although, if you didn't like some sections like stealth, then it is improved a lot. 

 

I personally loved navigating rats sections are best. This is what I loved in first game the most, and it got even better in this game. Don't bother if you didn't like stealth and rats section.

Dint like the standard hide-in-grass stealth sections much, present in every other game these days. But just like you, found the rats based navigation/puzzles as the best part of the game. Felt the story was dragged way too much to sleep inducing levels.

Gave up on the game where Sam dies during that cart pushing section. Was bored to death by then  Checked on YT later and there wasnt much game left after that section.
