I hope there is a 60 FPS mode as well..  the demo is running on 30 FPS with lot of washed type visuals in this area.. felt underwhelmed..

I have a feeling we going back to 30fps era in few years.

Why Pre-Install now for something that is playable in October? Do people still have such slow speed internet or do people really like blocking off their HDD/SSD space for nothing?

The pre install just puts a small dummy file. Closer to launch it'll download the full game so you can play it at launch.

It’s a 200-300MB file

once the full game is available for download, the small file installed gets an auto-update to download the full game

You don’t need to do anything after the pre-install, everything happens automatically and you can start playing as soon as game unlocks

quite a smart system from Xbox

So essentially the use of this is - you don't have to go to the store page and click on the "Download" button close to launch, but instead do that now? Is that the benefit?

Also, it adds to the excitement leading up to the launch

It's a fire and forget approach that offloads this process and let's you forget that you need to pre-load the game in the first place. It's immensely helpful for me since I've never had to pre-load games I care about and they're always available to play on launch day. It's akin to a bot which auto-adds PS5/XSX to your cart.
