don't worry, performance mode on consoles run at 60fps, so it's all good and smooth

I am playing it on the PC so looking forward to 144 FPS, 60 to 144 is like a whole different experience.

Usually the case.

That's why I am surprised too looking at it go so fast. Generally it crawls around 50-100.

Finally finished the preload, took more time than I expected but looks like I am ready. Will play some more Age Of Empires 4 till it unlocks, what a time to be a gamepass user.

for a picturesque game like this, the most important thing you need is a big TV. The bigger the better. Then your machine should be capable of 4k resolution. XSX does 4k at 60fps

Lastly, fps of 60 or higher. And since this isn’t a competitive shooter, I hardly think 144fps would add much value compared to 60fps on consoles

I think racing games greatly benifit from the higher fps giving you tighter control especially when you are moving the car at 200+km. It's a tradeoff between 4k 60 and 2k 144, I would choose 2k 144 due to that super smoothness.

There's a really bad texture loading issue on PC right now. It's ruining what is otherwise a stunning looking game.

While the game is expectedly a ton of fun, it looks like I'm gonna have to wait for a patch to continue :sadbye:

Series X? Fixed native 4K in quality mode with a 4K performance option that can scale back to 1600p. Again, 4x MSAA is standard across all Xbox Series consoles and it's worth stressing that DRS kicks in only occasionally.

Xbox One X doesn't just have more pixels, it's a far richer experience all around - it's close to Series X and Series S performance modes, just running at half frame-rate. Quality mode on Series consoles is a world apart in terms of detail, fidelity and integrity - level of detail is astonishing.

The road surface itself is as detailed as you would expect in a driving game but for the first time, the developers have integrated parallax occlusion maps into terrain surface with Series X Quality mode. This allows for proper height and perspective on such surfaces increasing the sense of realism.

what we have here is the results of Playground's 'recipe system', in which multiple texture layers are combined and then painted across the landscape. Series X, in quality mode, can have up to five layers combined to create a complex material

Performance mode still manages to capture a great deal of the game's richness and density but a layer of post-process realism is peeled back, along with some effects and crucially, some detail. Shading quality looks to be reduced in select areas while motion blur is significantly less reined.
