It’s the engine & how it handles each car.

 

DriveClub was somewhere in between a Simulator & Arcade racer.

 

Of what i can ‘see’ in ForzaH….it’s an out & out arcade.

Though will have to play to properly judge.

Hope there is PSplus Trial.

It is not an out an out arcade racer. This is lot different to a proper arcade racer like NFS.

Either way, it's not an arcade racer. You can't play it like NFS.

But visually yes this is the best thing.

From the videos, doesn't look completely arcade to me. 

 

DC was Simcade. FH5 looks closer to Driveclub to me.

If anyone going to buy, better do it during launch. The weekly racelist is fun and you get a lot of cars that way. Also the hot wheels expansion is also very good. Rally adventure, not so much.

Only people who have never played a Horizon game at length will call it an arcade racer.

There is a whole section of YouTube which teaches you to toggle the settings such that you can literally play it as a Forza Motorsport game but with the scenery.

Will stroll with a Shelby if its there all the way through enjoying the scenery.

Pretty huge. It can easily take 5+ hours if you want to drive through each and every road.

No one saying Forza Horizon games are like Sim racer like Motorsport, but its also not a pure arcade like NFS n all. Its like simcade, designed to cater broader audience. Lot of sim racer fans also enjoy Horizon games.

The game is pure arcade. Nothing in it resembles a sim or even a “simcade” 

 

Even if you toggle those settings, it won’t change the way the car and the world interact with each other. 
You cover too much distance in a short time and the feeling of a sim is instantly lost. 

People who always play GT or Forza Motorsport (like me) will get bored of this game in less than a week.
