+1000 for mentioning GodHand. how could i forget this? its one of my fav games though most didn't like it and some even regard it as the worst game they ever played. and i guess criteria for choosing games in this thread are mentioned in previous posts in this thread.

1. Manhunt - Don't know if we can call this underrated, but most ppl just know the game for its violence. Actually its one of the best stealth games I've played with a brilliant atmosphere set in.

2. Scarface - One of the best sandbox titles I've played, again, underrated in comparison to the lofty GTA series. The Tony Montana empire building of the game is one of its kind created in any sandbox game.

3. Godfather - the game had excellent hand-hand combat, nice extortion side missions, you get to be a part of the 'Godfather' movie interacting with a variety of characters from sonny to Don Vito to Michael Coreleone, and had a killer score and a Tight Godfather storyline !

4. Midtown Madness - I simply love this game. One of the best arcade racers I've played :huh:

 

 

I wish to add one more game to this list:

 

Project IGI: One of the few FPS I've played to death. The game was pretty open ended, in the sense that, it just dropped you into an area, assigned you some objectives. You were free to choose your way of achieving them. The enemy AI was top notch and the setting was also very 'Espionage'. The graphics were pretty good on my PIII machine. I don't know how many of you played or liked the game, but its one of my favorite FPS.

Reviews were generally decent, but not that good. Score-wise at least, I feel its underrated enough. :(

 

Edit: Then again, a lot of those games I mentioned scored pretty well overall. I'm still confused as to what qualifies at "underrated" in this thread. Does a game have to suck and sell like sh*t for it to be underrated? Because that makes little sense.

 

 

Exactly what I brought up a couple of pages back, and also why I'm not contributing. WTF does underrated even mean here.

 

Are we talking underrated in terms of popular/critical appeal? If so, a lot of these titles don't belong here. Lackluster sales doesn't make a title underrated, just commercially unsuccessful.

not actually underrated but some games are just wasted by other titles in the same genre( like true crime by gta series), some are not liked by many ppl, some get less ratings (by the gamers or critics) than other even if they are better than they are underrated to some extent IMO. and if you like any of such games then share ur views in this thread so that other get to know about these titles if they are unaware

I want to add another title to this list:

 

Perfect Dark for the N64.

 

Oh man, I remember I used to spend hours playing this game on the split-screen mode. It's underrated but it is an incredible FPS.

 

Perfect Dark was not an underrated game :bigyellowgrin:

In comparison to GoldenEye which was released for the same console and was critically acclaimed to be the greatest revolution to FPS games in a long time along with one of the best movie-to-game adaptations genre-wide; it was overlooked and some people didn't even give the game a chance.

it's way too realistic compared to other tennis games and surprisingly not too many ppl own this one...

 

That is what the fun is dude!! once yu get hold of its gameplay, it'll be the best tennis sim game that yu ever played!! that is if yu are a tennis fan :wacko:

these threads are for noobies like you punk! who keeps on playing only one stupid game and discriminating other titles coz you dont have those or you just cant play them!! ppl like you are just busy in PC vs CONSOLE discussions and miss other titles :P

 

see a one more reason of underrating of games :samui:
