dylanjosh Posted July 31, 2021 Report Share Posted July 31, 2021 (edited) Let me recommend one podcast I loved called Heavyweight. https://gimletmedia.com/shows/heavyweight/episodes#show-tab-picker As the name implies, the podcast is "heavy" in the sense it usually deals with heavy subject matter. However the person hosting it is a comedian and is very funny and injects quite a bit of humour. The way it goes is the host finds something unresolved in a persons life and helps them resolve it. The New Yorker wrote: "With gumption, empathy, and comic awkwardness, [Goldstein] ventures into people’s lives and tries to help them resolve things from the past: an unsolved human mystery, lingering guilt, a falling-out, hurt that’s turned to grievance." The Guardian wrote: "Goldstein leads his subjects back to that crucial moment when things went wrong and then helps them confront it so they can move on. The first episode has him going and trying to reunite his farther and uncle and have them make amends over some conflict in their past. Its kind of a tear jerker towards the end.
