He made his debut before MS but was never consistent and let's be honest guys like MSD come once in a generation, a whole generation of WK batsmen couldn't play for india cause he was that good (except tests). DK has made a strong case for himself at No.5. It would be a very brave call to pick Rohit & Kohli in the T20WC team as both are struggling. But Rohit still will be picked just for the captaincy. Its good to see so many uncapped players coming up due to this 10 team format, I don't think any player would take his place in Indian team for granted as now there are more than 2 replacements available for each player. Asia Cup in Aug followed by T20WC in October, They will be announcing the teams very soon. Ideal 11 could be Rohit-KL-SKY-Pant-DK-H.Pandya-Jaddu-Bumrah-Nattu-Chahal -D.Chahar + Bench (Kishan - Hooda - Umran - Shardul), Would be really interesting to see how would Umran bowl on AUS - ENG Pitches...!!! His first proper season of chances. Will come good at some point. He was dignified enough to get a quite divorce and in hindsight it was a blessing for him as his current wife is so much better for him. DK was regarded as best batsman to come out of his state. In an interview Parthiv admitted he and DK got chances but couldn't cement themselves in Indian team while Dhoni emerged and took the spot by storm. Let's be honest. Rohit is captain, won't be dropped. Kohli has a legacy behind him and he will play the world cup. If he fails in that then probably selectors have to take the hard call. So, let's hope he and Rohit find some form as there are many matches left. I feel for Kohli. Plus he is an equal or better bat than Thakur. I believe unless there are injuries or something else happens this will be the line up. Natarajan over Shami/Umesh anyday. Plus shardul is an all rounder, Havn't seen Harshal batting better than shardul in the IPL.
