Literally made batting look ridiculously easy in the last over, brilliant innings.

Hardik has done so so well, he has made his place permanent now, maybe we should just avoid playing him in tests, let him excel in white ball cricket.

Kohli needs to be dropped for the WC, we can’t keep playing with 10 players thinking he will suddenly come back in form. He needs to practice and not rest.

Dhawan also needs to go now, it’s been too long, Kishan and KL are ready for that role.

KL will bat at no 4/5
Thats his role now in ODI's

Not sure if they want to open with him again..

Dhawan is done.

Kohli is hanging by a thread which bcci can pull anytime.

If kohli is dropped we should play KL at 5 and open with Kishan.

Rohit

Kishan

Surya

Pant

KL

Hardik

Jadeja

This is legit a very good Top 7 in ODI. Gives decent left and right hand balance and all are power hitters when needed.

If they still persist with Kohli then KL should open cos there is no other place left for him.

Ben Stokes has announced his retirement from ODI cricket. Stokes will play his last game in the format for the national team on Tuesday (July 19) against South Africa in Durham. Stokes has played a total of 104 ODIs for England so far and was a key part of the England team that won the 2019 Cricket World Cup.

What has Kishan done ever in ODI to even get a sniff? He is struggling in T20 itself. Did he even debut in odi? Kishan has long way to go before getting considered for ODI or even T20.

I would prefer KL opening and someone like DK or even Iyer in subcontinent pitches in middle order.

More than the batting we need another bowler who can sort of bat at the end. If jaddu or pant got out yesterday with 30-40 to get,we would've struggled to chase it coz we had zero batting to come. Right now shami, yuzi, bumrah, Krishna, siraj etc cant be trusted to score more than 10-15 runs combined. We need to try and fit shardul, chahar, Sundar, Axar or even harshal somewhere over there. If pandya stays fit and bowls in every game, this can be achieved.

Its obvious Kishan is groomed as an opener. Although i am not a big fan of his. I would prefer Shaw but somehow selectors have completely forgotten about him. Kl is doing great at 5. Why mess it up. Dk can never get back in ODI. No space and age isn't a plus for him. Iyer again sucks at playing pace and short balls. Unless he sorts it out he can't be successful against good teams.

Deepak chahar was doing it well for us. Unfortunately got injured at wrong time. I am sure once he is back he will be drafted in asap. Shardul is inconsistent with bat and his bowling honestly isn't good enough at top level. Axar can't play if jaddu does, sundar can't play cos we will play Chahal. They can only be injury replacements. Harshal can be a good option but I don't know how effective he will be in a 10 over bowling game.

We do need batting options after Jadeja as Shami at 8 won't work.

Deepak Chahar must become regular in ODIs and t20s. Can swing the ball like Bhuvi and has a much better batting technique than Thakur. Also Thakur if he improves his bowling can be good option.

We should play Bhuvi in ODI's as well..
He has gotten his fitness back.

Can bat a bit as well.

No. Never. ODI are dying. Look at stokes retiring from it. I expect more players to follow this. Rather get bhuvi back in tests. Only if he had played against England would be massive difference. The way he can move the ball both ways on a good length is a treat to watch.

Don't think ODIs are dying. If anything -  the most prestigious Cricket Tournaments are still ODI Tournaments. The WC, Champion's Trophy etc. are all ODIs. Tests are dragging on, because they are the OG Cricket (Most Skill - but few interested people), T20 are the equivalent to McDonalds fast food cricket (Very less skills, small pitches, and just hit, hit and hit at the expense of bowlers) - ODI is still the happy middle ground and by far the standard format currently (Time to display skills on both sides, Interested viewership, not dragging on like tests etc.)

If anything, if ODI dies and T20 becomes the standard - then I fear for the future of Cricket.

We already have Deepak chahar and Shardul thakur for that. Both can hit better than bhuvi. If bhuvi is fit by then he can also be drafted in.

What i meant was ODI are least important in terms of outside of World Cup. T20 are most popular considering all the leagues and revenue it brings followed by Tests and then comes ODI. Obviously they won't be obsolete so soon. But, ICC needs to do something to generate more interest in them.

Deepak Chahar needs to work on his death bowling.
Shardul is completely off color now.
