all this talks, India plays Australia for T20 series starting Thursday and stadiums will be full again, BCCI will count money and say now wait for T20 WC.

On top of that this is the condition of selectors that a series with Aus in 3 days from now and the team has yet not been announced. I understand 15 players are playing WC and are busy but what are selectros sleeping on, such sorry state sometimes.

Kohli and KL rahul should be kept out of T20 setup forever, ROhit ideally was also a candidate, but he has shown promise and with his leadership skills and unselfish game play I hope they retain him as captain for T20 and he gets one last chance to win a WC trophy next year.

So true! I hope selectors are clear now whom to select for T20s. Both KL & Kohli has to go and even if Sharma however T20 WC is only 6 months away so there is no point to change the captain if he continues to play like he did in this WC. I hope they select youngsters and stick with them!

I would have said sack Rohit from T20 too cos he has been terrible in it off late but I feel for him a little. It's evident he desperately wanted to win this world cup. He couldn't. Although he has won a t20 world cup in 2007 but this was the ultimate win for him. Also his attacking approach at top has been a breath of fresh air. So, continue with him for t20 world cup. But we need a new Captain in ODI for sure. Except for Iyer I don't see any candidate right now. Maybe Pant when he gets back. Can't give it to Bumrah cos he plays selected games due to injury scares. Hardik is as selfish as you can get plus he is made of glass now. KL can't keep his performance going under pressure so no ways he can handle a team captaincy under pressure. Anyways lots of time for that.

Let's be honest. We ain't winning t20 world cup as well. We don't have such all rounders for that format and teams like Australia and England and even NZ have plenty for them. You can't win t20 world cup with 6 batters and 5 specialist bowlers. And 6 months is too less a time to find so many and even if there are again I don't trust selectors to do their job. I fully expect people like KL and even Kohli to play t20 world cup.

And lose!

Man there are people like Tilak Verma, Jaiswal, Gaikwad, Rinku Singh get them in the fold. Get all the IPL new performers for the series with Australia and stick to them for 5 matches, let's see how they perform.

They will do this. These guys will play all these players vs Australia etc and when T20 world cup will be near then magically Rohit, KL, Kohli and company will find places in t20 team and these guys will be benched. Have seen it all before.

A Little overreaction and fickle mindset as well though..

This is the same team that was outplaying everyone and all the fans were over the roof and over confident.

Yes, Australia were better and deserved to win and outplayed india.

But would all these stuff would have been said if Australia were not at their best in the final ??

There would have been praises for each and everyone from top to bottom in the squad and staff.

So, yes, lost the final but talking as if this same team didn't qualify for the final.

Suryakumar Yadav is set to become the captain of the Indian team for the five-match Twenty 20 series against Australia starting in Visakhapatnam on November 23. VVS Laxman will be the head coach for the five-game series that will end in Bangalore on December 3.

Most members of the squad that played in Ireland have been retained, barring of course, Jasprit Bumrah, who was the captain for that series. Bumrah has been rested.

Prasidh Krishna, who was part of the World Cup squad is set to be part of the series but Hardik Pandya, who has been injured, has not been considered. He would of course have been the captain if he was fit.

I got no problem with it. Sky has been fantastic in t20. Should have never been drafted in ODI and tests when he didn't had the numbers to back it up. This ODI stupidity will only mess his t20 game. Let him do the format he is good at. And to be honest I Blame selectors and management for playing him. Not his fault he was selected to play a role he wasn't fit for.

But if you read this thread , complaints about iyer, surya and siraj were raised constantly. Also we did not play with the same INTENT and thats the only complaint honestly.

Iyer redeemed his place with his performances.

Virat kohli played fine and has been playing relatively slower throughout.

Only Kl Rahul should have played faster, I do blame him for too many dots.

But again, only Sky and jadeja were left and they flopped and was quite expected.

Jadeja is now only more of a bowler or final 4-6 overs guy.

Sky haven't watched ipl at all, but looks like in the slow pitch, sky technique was useless.

Problem isn't we lost. Someone wins and someone loses as it's a game after all. Problem is we played with Champion mindset whole tournament and forgot all that on most important day and didn't even gave a fight. If we had fought like champions and then lose no one will be criticizing them.

Except for Mukesh Kumar I expected all these.

Iyer will be joining in last 2 t20 and will be VC.

Mukesh is a decent bowler. Can be useful in tests and perfect replacement for shami.

He has line and length. But he doesn't have pace. Even in tests he won't work on Australia and SA kind of pitches. And he doesn't fit in white ball at all which was evident in IPL itself. But anyways no harm in trying.

Isn't Avesh Khan overrated? Every time he plays for India he fails to land those wide yorkers which he is famous for in death overs but those skills come back in IPL.

Sai Sudarshan and Tewatia should have also been given a chance (specially instead of Dubey).

He wasnt good in last ipl too. There is a reason DC let him go. Plus he has same symptoms as Siraj. Can't handle pressure. And we need bowlers who can bat in white ball cricket. Especially t20 shouldn't have any place for bowlers who can't hit a few.
