I dont want bowlers to be six hitters but they should be able to rotate strike. i dont think bishnoi, Arshdeep, avesh, Prasidh, Mukesh can do that. Only problem is it is 3rd time in a row, we topped the group in 2015, 2019 and again in 2023 (in 2023 they were the most dominant and hence highest hopes, but trophy column is still 0. This team has far far exceeded expectations, I would have laughed it off if some one would have told me that they will win 10/10 in a row. More and more batters should bowl and bowlers should bat from the jr levels. 1 critical analysis of Rohits captaincy whether for mumbai or india is that he’s not given the bowl to part time bowlers like tilak, dube, iyer, shardul or even axar at times. They gave me hope during the tournament with outstanding aggressive approach and crushed it with same timid approach which on display every final since last 10 years. No effort to promote the guys who can bowl do some bowling in bilaterals which we play aplenty. Not even in IPL they get a bowl. Honestly when the tournament started I was like , league me khelenge fhir harenge chodo, but when I say the team playing, the dress room atmosphere, the bowling menace, i was completely invested. The bowling team will be given 60 seconds between overs and the batting side will have an addition of five runs to the total if such a delay happens thrice in an innings. The decision, taken at the ICC Board meeting in Ahmedabad on Tuesday, will come into effect on an experimental basis from December to April next year. I often see some teams use this to their advantage despite of the penalty imposed on their match fees. Now this new system should keep things fair.
