I think majority of the deaths happened at the stadium gates, Im just guessing, correct me if im wrong.

What probably happened that people at the front, near the gate, got crushed by the force coming from behind due to large crowd trying to enter through that small gate. Stadium management had to shut the doors once stadium reached its capacity. I've seen one video where 5-6 security guards trying to keep the gate closed from inside. Nothing much those security guards can do, they have to keep the crowd outside, otherwise who knows it could be much worse if entire crowd break into the stadium.

I think the biggest mistake is that they allowed this the very next day of the finals. Concerned departments dont even get 24 hrs to plan it properly.

Practically, I dont think its right to blame directly the entire state gov or CM, technically its not them who administer the city. Ive noticed usually in India its common to blame everything on state admin. from policy making to a dry hand pump in a village. Indians have poor understanding of civics, even including those who are well educated and have studied the subject in school days.

Bangalore is a mahanagar palika, so idk is it chief commissioner or deputy commissioner who were responsible for allowing this event the very next day of finals.

Ive just read a news article, 5hrs ago. Ironically, Karnataka gov has appointed Deputy Commissioner of bangalore Urban District as the enquiry officer to probe the stampede incident. Now its right to blame the state gov. Why the hell they appointed someone who is already a part of that administration. Can he really deliver justice? The most common trend is that senior officials tend to favour other seniors who worked alongside them in the system.

Simplest solution was to sell tickets at a decent price, yes they would have been trolled for making money, but that would have cut the crowd by more then half. They could have done this today giving time to people to buy and resell tickets in black (Like entire season) and everyone would have been happy.

Good idea this though quite a dick move to charge when the event is all about fans.

Ya that is why I said get trolled for it, but atleast you get to control this crap. Also when has IPL ever been for fans, it is always about money, specially RCB who sell tickets at the maximum price in India, still tickets are sold out and you can buy tickets in blak on there app itself.

So ya Dick move but they would have still got a housefull and 11 people would have been still alive.

Anyone remember this?

Mumbai hosted massive 3.5 lakh crowd open bus parade after India won T20 WC. No stampede nothing happened, but Banglore failed to miserably and fault is entirely on state government and other local authorities.

I guess Mumbai is used to managing massive crowds efficiently thanks to  Ganesh Visarjan ceremonies and all

Ligue 1 team from France. One of the richest teams in the world. They spent millions buying players like Neymar, Mbappe, Dembele etc but never won UCL. This year they finally won it.

Truly a year of chokers. Spurs, PSG, RCB and now South Africa. Well deserved.

The year 2025 is crazy. Six months still remaining in the year and more crazy and bad things to happen.

I hope i'm wrong.
