That said it is so sad that the game is becoming so dependent on toss, bowling second with wet ball is making life so difficult bowlers. The way India batted in second innings it felt like it was a different pitch altogether, and again if we had lost the toss, would have felt like 375 would have also not been enough. Not sure what can be done, early starts only look possible to balance this out, as it is the game is tilted heavily towards batsman, this makes bowlers look even more pedesterian. Every other country is playing day matches. Only BCCI, which already has all the money in the world is trying to extract every last drop of revenue. Also how will you even compare the differences when there are no day matches taking place nowadays? At major centres, all ODIs will be houseful regardless of timing. Most people these days are streaming the matches on their phones, so viewership also has changed. At the very least this could be done on weekends. Also I don't get the obsession with running major events and finals late on Sundays when people have to get to work next morning. Drops him, gets gill to open in Asia cup. Now Gill dropped and Samson to open. ( Right call imo ) Rinku Singh played literally 1 ball in Asia cup. Gets dropped. Jitesh come in his place. Samson gets dropped as Jitesh makes more sense to bat lower down the order. Now time for World Cup Gill dropped, Samson back in opening slot. Jitesh dropped, Rinku comes in. Just feel the management and selectors are not in same page. There was no need of Jitesh playing these matches. They should have kept Rinku in the team.
