Jadeja has been a better batsman than rahane in the last few years.

That is without a doubt, Jadeja is indisposable in India. Rahane is disposable even in gully cricket.

In suryakumar and Iyer we have good replacement for him

Iyer showing Rahane how much crap he is, rahane has had enough of long runs, should sit out the next match and Iyer should play instead of him.

Rahane said a couple of days back he doesn't care for making 100 and even 30-40 is a good contribution. With such mindset no wonder he does nothing all the time.

Even if Iyer makes a ? watch team management bench him next match and play sh*t bahane again. I expect nothing less.

Iyer should be a replacement for Rahane, Gill should be a replacement for Pujara in sometime.

Rohit

Rahul

Gill

Kohli

Iyer

Pant

Jadeja

Ashwin

And Pacers

What a line up this can be.

Great knock by Ier.

Jadeja has been our best batsman & player in tests for couple of years now.
He has consistently scored runs.

They should just make him VC in all formats actually.

We should look beyond Saha as well. He's a very poor batsman. We should play KS Bharat in the next game.

Actually I agree that Ishan should be tried as backup, he is an attacking player and also young, this should be end of line for bahane and Saha, how long will they put up with mediocricity

Please no. We need to keep white and red ball players seperate. SKY and Ishan have average First class records. We need to give chances to players like Shreyas, Vihari etc who have 50+ average in first class and are consistent performers.

As for Saha he hasn't done anything with bat since ages. We should have played Bharat in both tests against NZ to see how he does. Atleast play him next match. Otherwise it becomes quite risky to take Bharat on SA tour with no match practice and Saha will again make the cut as back up keeper.

NZ are 121/0. Seems like 345 was a very average total by our team or we are bowling poorly.

This pitch has been amazing, kudos to the Curator, yes the odd one did stay low, but then again odd one takes off from other pitches too.

NZ is such a champion team, and proving why they are World test champions, such a brilliant match, would have been a heartbreak to see them lose, I say that even as an Indian supporter, they played there hearts out!!

India has always been unlucky when it comes to stuff like bad light, rain washouts. Mostly we are on the wrong end of this. Not taking anything away from NZ but they got quite lucky with the bad light. Another couple of overs and they could have lost.

Won't blame bowlers at all, everyone tried there best. It's quite tough to take wickets when batsman have only one mindset of blocking every ball. In hindsight maybe we should have batted a bit fast and declared with an hour to remain yesterday. But, that's ifs and but's.

Anyways, I am looking forward to the selection fun for next game and the reasoning management gives to keep playing Rahane. ?
