roun90
@harsh1387 Problem is, most people rate ICC Tournaments very highly. Far more than bilateral series in SENA Countries. Look at the hype for World Cups, Champion Trophies and the like vs the series in England/Australia/South Africa. Another problem is, not many people care for test cricket anymore. While Kohli has been great in these bilateral series, his ICC Tournament record is abysmal. People remember the Sachin/Ganguly era for them bringing the Indian Team on the World stage and getting actual respect (before that, the only time we had respect was in 1983 WC AFAIK). People remember Dhoni era because he won every single ICC Tournament for us, including the T20 World Cup and (Most Importantly) The ODI World Cup in 2011 - the very first time after 1983 that we won such a major tournament. They also remember Dhoni trying till the end in 2019 WC, and recognize he is the most successful player and captain for Chennai in IPL - which is one of the most winning teams in entire IPL history under Dhoni. People remember Kohli for his individual records, and recognize that he is one of the most successful batsmen. Even here, his form has dropped. They also remember that India pretty much lost all ICC Tournaments in the World stage under him. The fact that we were recently kicked out in the 1st round itself in the 2020 T20 World Cup does not help. Worse (in most people's eyes), he broke the record of India always winning against Pakistan in World Cups, that too in a shameful defeat (The match was not even close, there was no fight in the Indian Team at all). They remember all his Bollywood antics and party lifestyle. They remember his spat against Kumble, and how Kumble was kicked out - Kumble was considered a gentleman, and one of the legends of India. Under him RCB's record has been abysmal in the IPL. A lot of people think he is full of ego. So yup, IMO Kohli gets trolled for all those reasons I think. Under him, India does great in bilateral series. But people prefer World Series over the Bilateral ones. Interest in Test Cricket has pretty much waned, and other than purists, nobody cares if Kohli has wins in bilateral test series in SENA. If it was a major tournament - people might care, but otherwise not many do. Heck, many people don't even know India is No 1 in Tests/ODIs when that ranking only comes from bilateral series. So yup, that's why I think Kohli gets trolled and disrespected. Edited December 31, 2021 by roun90

Kohli is opposite. What he is still one of the best white ball player in history and the best test captain we ever had. He should be appreciated for that and criticized where he lacks. Anyways, i feel we are gonna win this series and that will mark another chapter in Indian cricket. harsh1387
ODI team is good enough but selectors should have selected Shaw rather than Gaikwad. Ruturaj is an exciting future player but what Shaw can do when he clicks none of these openers can. Plus he was ahead in pecking order before his injury miss out. Selectors did him dirty here. Good to see Washi back. We need to develop him as a good backup of Ashwin especially in tests. As much as I like Ash I don't want him playing white ball especially ODIs. He needs to further his test career if he wants to cross magic figure of 500 wickets and playing so much may mess his fitness. KnackChap
Rutu is the one for the future. He has both the technique & temperament to play & succed in all 3 formats unlike Shaw. He can be the one to replace Rohit post wc 2023. Shaw's fitness is questionable & he looks unfit plus is a terrible fielder despite being in the early 20's. Also there were reports of him having attitude problems in the last to last aus tour. Personally to me, along with ruturaj, Gill and yashaswi are better prospects and future batting superstars. Yashaswi esp looks extremely calm and composed while batting (plus we need a leftie), gill though has under delivered as of yet.
silentassassin
Gaekwad much deserved. He has been so consistent. Even in recent Vijay Hazare trophy scored tons of runs.

AtheK
Dravid is the one who should take the blame for this, he has not changed anything and just playing along.

You are forgetting that this is not Rahul dravid from Cred ad which says he is indira Nagar ka gunda. Just basis on one match you cannot drop a experienced player. But this is probably last chance in second innings for both pujara and Rahane. And what happened to Shreyas suddenly waha hagne gaya hain. And one of these two experienced guy has been ultra pathetic from a long long time now, hopefully both get out on 0 and we can have them booted for good, I still feel for Pujara but rahane is such a shameless chap. DinJo
Due to some reason I feel pujara is really lacking confidence and he just want to stay. Rahane on other hand looks more confident but at the end both score zeroes

And what happened to Shreyas suddenly waha hagne gaya hain. True. He has just entered the set up. Let's not forget Pujara and Rahane still have Huge fan following, especially Pujara after his BGT heroics. So, obviously Dravid will give them couple of chances before replacing. Even Gavaskar has stated next innings is last chance for Pujara and Rahane. I hope Vihari can make some runs in second innings and push out Rahane atleast. More concerned about Siraj injury, if he can't bowl any further we are at mercy of Shami and Bumrah only as Thakur is at best a holding bowler and Ashwin won't be much of use considering the lack of assistance for spin. Banz
I like Rahane, but I don't think he has much longer left. He looked in great touch in the first Test, but threw away a good start in the 1st innings, then got out looking for quick runs in the 2nd. Hopefully he can do better in the 2nd innings here; we need it.

Banz
What was that Mayank? All upto Pujara and Rahane now, if they don't contribute this Test could be gone. We are practically 17/2.
